“Fab Hotel!!”
Reviewed 20 August 2012 via mobile

Travelled with my husband & 7 year old son 30/7-13/8/12, & this was our 1st trip to Turkey...having never considered it in the past.

Wish we'd found this hotel years ago...location was good, set away from busy main road, but within easy walking distance to local shops & beach. You can also jump on the Dolmus on the main road every few minutes, if it's too hot to walk to the harbour.

The hotel itself was absolutely spotless, rooms very spacious & towels/bed linen changed everyday. We had a pool view room wish also had a fab sea view too.

The food was typical all inclusive buffet, and there was always something to eat for us all. Our waiter Ali in the main restaurant always got us a table near the buffet, even at busy times & we always enjoyed a laugh & joke with him. The locally produced wine & spirits were ok, but I would have liked a cocktail list aswell. The waiters only seemed to know how to make one...sex on the beach!

The entertainment team worked hard throughout the day & night, and although it wasn't the best, they were funny & got everyone involved. My son was always involved in the kids entertainment & also got himself a little holiday job helping to collect the glasses from around the pool ha!

The hardest working person in the whole place was Charlie, the pool guy. He literally doesn't stop all day long, in the sweltering heat. Even if you turn up at the pool late in the afternoon, he will find you some decent sun beds & parasol. He also monitored the slides to make sure everyone was safe, although no official lifeguard was on duty.

The Turkish Bath is highly recommended, lovely & relaxing & good price too. Also if you're thinking about getting a tattoo...take your design with you to see Emre. He is a fab tattoo artist & very reasonable. Me & my husband both got tattoos the day before we came home.

I am absolutely gutted to be home, and would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

Having stayed in Marmaris before, we had walked past the Grand Pasa and admired the external view of the hotel, we were pretty sure what to expect and we were not disappointed. The hotel is relatively small which means no queing for meals, being able to get a sunbed when you want(rather than having to set your alarm at some unearthly hour) and getting a table in the evening for the entertainment no problem at all.
The hotel is very clean, the rooms are a decent size with good facilities. Air con good, rooms cleaned daily. The spa is of very good quality having been to Turkey for the last 5 years we have visited several not so clean Turkish baths, its a bit on the expensive side for a Turkish spa but well worth it being on a par with a spa in the UK.
The food is of excellent quality for any all inclusive of course its not the Savoy but then your not paying for the Savoy. All inclusive drinks are locally produced so again not of premium quality but it depends were your expectations are at. The staff are friendly, chatty and helpful and are just out to make sure you have a superb holiday, there are guests are of all nationalities and everyone is catered for.
We visited with a 16 and 19 year old who were taken on an organised coach with the entertainment team to bar street each night and returned safely at 3am. This hotel caters for everyone from young families, to families with teenagers to couples without any kids.
I would highly recommend this hotel we have returned today and will be rebooking within the week for a week in May.
It is super hot at this time of the year so be warned.

We went to marmaris for a friends wedding in May, Normally we would go to Pinetta deluxe....as we were only going for 7 days we tried this one again.
We were in here when the hotel was new a couple of years ago, condition
of the hotel is the same, service was good...pool, bar dining room, and general lay-out is good....nice hotel for a family...
If you decide to wander head down to the main road, (5 mins) turn left and look for "Pasa Jewellery" look on the left side ...Its one of the few Registered shops in Marmaris and Very reasonably priced. Ask for Joseph....
If you are in the mood of a good meal, keep walking on the left side for 6 or 7 mins until you see... "The Samdan" Restaurant...this place has been rated No 1...on trip advisor for the last 2/3 years...check it out on here. The Head Waiter
is called Tunjay...(T.J.) ask for him by name....you will love the food in here !!!
to conclude
no probs in the hotel, surrounding area is good, main road 5 mins, beach 3 mins past main road....you will enjoy this hotel !!!

Returned from grand pasa hotel yesterday. We had a wonderful time, especially around the pool area which is well designed with lots of sunbeds and parasols and also good areas of shade and sun to sit in. The hotel staff were nothng but polite, helpful, friendly and chatty towards us. Special praise should go to to the cleaning staff as we found the hotel spotless. The maid service was daily clean bedding and towels were daily also. The rooms were comfortable and the air con was great and definately needed as the weather was marvellous. The food was very good with lots of choice and although occasionally repetative was always well presented and hot. We did not use to al a carte as we enjoyed the main restaurant so can't comment on this. Over all we had a fabulous holiday and would definately return as soon as possible

Room Tip: we asked for a pool view and a medium height floor when booking got what we wanted.

Myself and 3 friends stayed at this hotel for 10 nights from the 28th July 2012.

When we arrived at 6am (over 2 hours to get there from the airport) the guy behind the desk was very nice and got our suitcases brought up to our room was a bit disappointed that our room was on the first floor facing the generators (room 110) & our friends room was on the 2nd floor.

The Hotel was lovely and clean and the food was very nice considering I am a very very fussy eater there was not one night that I didnt find something to eat.

Pool area was nice and was kept very clean by the pool guy, just a shame that we never seemed to find him when we needed an umbrella as it was sooo hot!

Hairdresses - These are lovely guys and did a really good job on our hair and eyebrows :)

A La Carte restuarant was lovely :)

Spa - Make sure you get the Turkish Bath etc on the 1st or 2nd day of your hol its fab and makes you get a better tan :)

Downsides - Considering it was all inc 5 star was disappointed that we had to pay for the bottled water (from the market shop in the hotel) and just fill it up at water fountains in the hotel also we asked for a larger glass to have coke fanta etc in but we got told no we were only allowed a small glass and it would of been good if there had been ice cream as we also had to pay for this.

The receptionists can be quite rude doesnt cost anything to smile!

All in all we would def stay at this hotel again just them few points which is why I didnt mark it 5 out of 5

Room Tip: If you want a room with a pool view and you get either 110 or 233 then ask to change as neither thes...

Not 5*!
Stayed in this hotel from 20 to 29 July 2012. I have been in Turkey 6 times so I am experienced enough to compare. Grand Pasa is maximum 4*, not 5*. Yes, hotel is clean, pool is amazing, food is awesome, 9 days were not enough to try everything they served. But some things really show that this is not 5*.
First of all, it does not have its own beach. You should walk around 10 mins to get the other hotel beach. It was always easy to find free sun beds, no problem with this. But there was no free bar at the beach. Even water you need to buy. And I did not see any shower there, so after the sea you have to go back to the hotel to have a shower. And also be careful: there are too many rocks in the sea, so you can easy damage your feet.
In the hotel they did not have bottled water. Only coolers. So if you want to get a bottle before going out you can’t do this, you have to buy outside.
Another one disappointment is poor animation. Really poor. I have seen such animation before but it was in December when normally nobody goes to Turkey and no need to have an entertainment team. But here, the hotel was full, too many children and almost no activities. They did only water gym and mini disco for children. In all the hotels I had been before this hotel, animation teams did really amazing shows, but here they invited break dance team and belly dancer. So 30 mins of dance and that’s all, no more entertainment, go to your room and entertain yourself how you can. And what annoyed me too much is that the belly dancer and other guys who had been invited for show asked for tips. When you go to a concert or show do you expect somebody asking for tips? You come to relax; you don’t need to carry money with you as this hotel is all inclusive. So when those guys started asking for money I really felt very uncomfortable because even I did not take any money with me!
Our room was nice, but seems like it was cleaned only inside, balcony they never cleaned even after some tips given. The problem is that there was another one hotel in from of our room. It was very noisy, no chances to sleep until midnight. For me it is ok, but if you have children you’d better ask for a quit room (if they have any because hotels are everywhere and situated very close to each other). For us there was a positive moment: as our entertainment was poor we could go to the balcony and watch another hotel’s shows which were always very good and funny.
The safe box was for extra money and we paid 7USD per each day. One day we could not open it because something went wrong with the mechanism. So we had to ask for their manager to come and unlock. Actually seems like our room was just unhappy room because right after the safe box our door locker stopped working properly. The card inside of it stopped working all of a sudden and the light and air-conditioner were switched off automatically. After they changed the card it repeated in a few days.
A few words about the treatments they offer in the hotel. We tried hammam (Turkish bath), this really cost the payment they ask for it. But young girls, be careful with the massagists, one of them (fat one) is really insolent.
What disturbed me too much is smoking. In Turkey smoking in public places and even in hotels is forbidden. But people were smoking in front of the pool where children were playing, in the snack bar, during evening ‘shows’ and nobody from hotel’s staff informed them that smoking was not allowed. It was annoying for me as a non-smoking person. Also what I noticed is that British teens liked to put their feet with shoes on the tables in lobby bar. I don’t think that is it polite to other people which come after them and sit in front of the table where their dirty shoes were put. And I think it is responsibility of the staff to tell people not to be like animals.
I can write more but I think it’s more than enough to understand the level of this hotel. In general it is good but 4 stars only, I don’t think that I can go there again.
