“Great Hotel”
Reviewed 5 October 2012

Had a fantastic holiday here in June for 2 weeks and returned again for a 10 day stay in Sept which was equally great. Hotel is lovely, first visit we had a pool view room and second time street view, although the pool view was nicer the street view was still pleasant. Our room was very clean and comfortable, cleaning lady was lovely and did nice displays of hearts and fans with our clean towels and blankets daily. The staff at the Grand Pasa are fantastic very hard working and made the holiday, special mention to Naz, Mary, Jamul, DJ Sonny from the entertainment crew...great bunch! Simon my partner enjoyed the daily entertainment of darts, table tennis and pool. Enjoyed the evening entertainment by the pool and had great bar service from slavik, Jimmy and smiley Musa my favourtie of the bar staff, drinks were fine and are served till midnight. After that we headed for Dianas bar just down the road. Charlie the pool guy is fab, was never waiting round for a sunbed or parasol, whatever the time of day. We found the food was great im quite a picky eater but always found something different to eat, there is so much selection cant see how people can moan about it. Great hotel and would definetly go back....thanks to all at Grand Pasa for 2 great holidays :)

Just arrived back on 1st October from 2 week holiday at Grand Pasa hotel, great food great company, Jay Jay in main dining area works very hard and makes you very welcome, he run s round after every one. Mary (kids entertainment) lovely. charlie pool man never stops, gets you any thing you need, could do with kettles in your room to make tea or coffee, would advise you take one with you. great pool and slides for the kids. could do with a cocktail list of drinks available at the bars, not much choice. rooms very clean and sheets changed every day.( well done to the cleaning staff.) Diving trip fantastic, with Nautilas, would advise every one who is into this thing to go on it, booked from a lady who visits the hotel, well worth the money enjoyed that much went twice. Over all had a fantastic time due to hotel and family we went with.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Pasa from 10 to 20 Sept 2012. It definitely isn't 5 star but that doesn't mean it isn't fab! The hotel and our room were impressive if a little shabby. We had no problem with the all inclusive drinks, beer served in half pint measures in glasses everywhere except by the pool, where slightly smaller plastic tumblers were used, I don't understand why previous reviewers have complained about this, you wouldn't want broken glass by or in a pool.We didn't use the poolside snack bar but did see fresh pizzas etc being cooked and the other food on offer there looked fine.We mostly ate in the restaurant and thought the selection was amazing. We couldn't understand why so many of the people we spoke to were going out for a full English breakfast in the morning and steak at night, surely you can have that at home any day of the week.We stayed by the pool much more than we usually would on holiday as it was much hotter than we expected it to be (about 30-34C) and have to say we loved the poolside entertainment and the music, certainly didn't think it was a din,as stated by a previous reviewer, and we aren't exactly young at 55 and 61. On the downside, on arrival our room wasn't ready so we had to swap rooms half way through the second day which meant we couldn't unpack properly immediately and our second day was disrupted by faffing about. Some of the staff were a bit miserable, one of the guests told us that half the staff had been moved to work at the sister hotel ,maybe this was the reason, and the tables certainly weren't being cleared of glasses and wiped as often as they should have been during the evening, neither were leftover snacks cleared from by the pool regularly. The evening entertainment was mostly awful and we found it really uncomfortable when the entertainers came amongst us with a hat for tips, why weren't they paid by the hotel? However by the end of the day we were so chilled and relaxed nothing really bothered us. In conclusion we had a fabulous holiday.....loved it, and would return tomorrow!

Room Tip: We started in a suite on 6th floor as our room was still occupied we thought it would be luxurious...

Jay Jay the waiter in the main dining was very helpful and friendly. Charlie at the pool worked very hard all day. But just out for the photo guys at night you do not get much piece from them. It's well documented the hotel is not a 5 star hotel by Eurpoean standards but it was still fine...would say a decent 3 star. Didnt like our room and asked to be moved and they did rhis with little fuss. was given a much better room as a replacement. Some of the staff are surly but got better once they get to know you.
Food? well there's a huge selection but even that gets a bit boring after a while.....no bacon or English breakfast? Well, you're in Turkey for gods sake! We had no difficulty finding something to eat, you just need to go out a couple of times for a change.
Pool area nice apart from the music blaring out all day. Can't understand why they think their guests - who were largely in the older and retired age group - would want to listen to this din. We just moved to the other side of the pool. The "entertainment" was so bad it was funny. Absolutely dire!
The guests were mostly Scottish (as I am myself), Dutch and English but there was nice mix of other nationalities and I found them all pleasant and friendly in general. We did get some strange looks...well, a 53 year old British guy and a 32 year old (but looks younger) Chinese guy would stand out a little I suppose haha, but it was no problem and people, as I said earlier, were generally friendly.
All in all we had a very pleasant and relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: We got a room facing out the back of the hotel but got it changed when we complained that it was a b...

I have just been reading the review call 'Never Before And Never Again' and I have to say it is the biggest load of rubbish I have ever read. My wife and I stayed at GP from 3 to 17th Sep 2012 and we loved it. They complained about not catering for British. If you want British then stay in Britain. They say the bar staff are rude and cannot speak English. Well I had a good half hour conversation with the bar staff without any problems. They say the food is rubbish and breakfast is awful, the food is fine, what do you want? full english if so stay in England. As for going to Diana's everyday for breakfast, we passed Diana's on the way to the beach, it's an awful place full of loud mouthed English people complaining about their holidays. Perhaps that's why they liked it. I agree the Turkish bath man does tout for business around the pool but a polite 'no thanks' and away he goes, same with the hairdresser and jewellery shop staff. Be polite to them and they are fine. The photo man does charge a lot for the photographs but you do not have to buy them and he is not offensive at all. My room overlooked the pool and yes music is played during the day but if you close your balcony door it's fine. Some people just like to moan about everything. The restaurant staff are fine. We were attended too by Ali who always saved us a table and on the day that I was ill arranged for a plate of fruit which he gave to my wife to bring to my room for me. I gave him a tip now and again to thank him.
Do not listen to the moaners, this place is wonderful. Just remember you are in Turkey and not Las Vegas. It is a different culture.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the inner corner rooms overlooking the pool, the balconies are quite small. Aim for the...
