Having been a frequent traveller to Marmaris and stayed in a variety of hotels 3star through to 5 star I have to say. this was the best hotel overall. The rooms are basic and quite small (unless it's a family room,) however we were made to feel very special. We travelled in a party of 6 adults and 1 teenager . The pool was fantastic and the food second to none. Too often in the 5 star all inclusive hotels everything is geared around meal times and dressing for dinner. It was a pleasure to fully relax and if we did not feel like getting dressed up at night to eat there was no pressure to do so. This was the most chilled out and relaxed any of us had been on our holidays to Marmaris for many a year. Batman (Fraid) and all the waiters work so hard and nothing is too much effort, their dance shows are brill. Weekly BBQ is a must worth ever penny of the £10 PP exellent quality no shortage in quantity and their folkdancers, fire show and belly dancer really makes the night.. The hotel is situated near the mountain road into Marmaris (Armutalan) but there is a bas terminus 2 min walk from te hotel door from which you can get a dolmus to town centre and beach for the cheap price of 1 lira 75 (approx 60p)

Boat trip is definately worth doing (great for the tan) as is the turkish bath and jeep safari.

There are a number of us rebooking for this hotel for May2012 would not go past it now. Take the time to talk to the staff they can let you know all about their culture and love to practice their English, it is appreciated if you make attempts to learn even a few words of Turkish.. Thank You Mehmet, Fraid, Alex and james to name but a few Who wants the big fancy hotels where you are just a room number much prefer to chill out with you guys and feel like we are amongst friends

See you all in MAY xxxxxxxxx Tracy and Stuart Grubb

This hotel is three star, but you're treated like five star guests by the wonderful staff and management. Our family had a brilliant time and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Bar manager, Batman, is a great all-round entertainer. James is sweet and the BEST dancer and smiler. Enrique made me laugh my head off with his funny jokes, and cute dances. We had laughs the whole week. Alex is attentive and friendly. The bar staff, Ozzy, Eddie, Jacob all soooo friendly and nice. Mehmet, a lovely manager! The only problem was that we didn't book for TWO WEEKS! Never mind, we will book two weeks for next summer very soon.

More about the Hermes Hotel: Lovely big, clean swimming pool, with lots of sun-loungers. Gorgeous, well-presented hot or cold food with lots of choice of mains or snacks. Clean, comfortable rooms, with decent sized balconies, easily able to sit out on table and chairs.

Entertainment: Lots from the staff: Fab! Especially the nightly staff-dance, and my personal favourite, Shemame!! More entertainment was brought into the hotel in the form of a Michael Jackson tribute, Belly Dancer, Break Dancers, Robot Dancer and more. Just wonderful!

Again, I have to mention the wonderful staff who MADE the holiday for us all. Thanks so much. Roll on 2012.

Went Turkey end of june stayed for 2weeks at the Hermes & it was luvly. The rooms where clean & the staff were amazing, anything you needed they would sort it out. Would defo reccommend this hotel, theres entertainment most of the nights. But it was mainly the staff which made us enjoy our stay. Especially the bar staff & managers they were luvly, they were all bubble, out going & up for a laugh. Defo going back.

Got back yesterday and we are gutted that we are back and already looking at booking for next year.
First off thank you Batman, Eddie, Jacob, Alex, James, oral!! And all the other staff.
So here it goes…. Myself and my boyfriend stayed at hotel Hermes for 2 weeks, 29/08/11 to 13/09/11, going with Thompson. We got to the airport really early, so we had some thing to eat and did some shopping, we then headed to the bar, to which we bumped in to mark and his daughter (who were on our flight and staying in the same hotel as us). We had a little drink to pass the time, lol, oh also thos that smoke, if you are going from T2 Manchester go to gate 300 and down the stairs and you are able to smoke there.
Lets getting starting on the holiday now, got off the plane and my gosh that heat hit us, it was wonderful. Paid our £10 visa, collected our bags and found are coach all with in 30 mins tops. Had to wait for everyone to get on the coach but this was only about 20 mins, but we didn’t mind as we were so excited, once we headed of it only took us 1 hour 30 mins to get to the hotel, we didn’t have a stop as we were told as it was late this wouldn’t happen, but it would happen on are return. We were the first ones to be dropped of which was good, once we got to the hotel we were met by the night staff, who were lovely, we checked in and got air con and a safe for 2 weeks which cost £84, we need the air con badly. The safe in down in reception, which can be a bit of a pain as at night time when in bed and we wanted some thing, we had to get up and go down stairs but hey, its not the end of the world. As we got there really late we just went straight to bed. The hotel room was basic, but for what we paid £700 between us for 2 weeks, I was over the moon with it. Got up the next day and went for breakfast, this is Turkish but the bread and honey/ jams were out of this world, if this isn’t your thing, then don’t go to turkey, stay at home. Although You can get a fry up for 6lr.
We then when to the pool and meet all the staff and what a bonus they are to the hotel, they asked us what are names were and remembered then, god only knows how they do that.
Around the pool… As this hotel is not a complex, it is not over cowed by people, so no matter what time you went down to the pool there was always sun beds to be had, also if there was only beds in the shade the staff will move beds around for you.
we did the Turkish night, but this wasn’t for us. I am not at all saying it was rubbish and not to try it, it just wasn’t for us, I think the reason was the food, not because it wasn’t good, its just things we didn’t like. We don’t like spicy foods and the other half don’t like any thing with veg in it. However the meat from the BBQ was out of this world. So try it, as we have talked to people who really enjoyed it and did it both weeks.
TRIPS we booked our trips with A&S travel. The people that work there are all really nice and there is no hard sell, which was nice.
We decided to do a Turkish bath and a boat trip.
The Turkish bath was ok for what we paid for it, £10, however it did feel like it was one in one out, also the massage was not that good, it wasn’t one bit relaxing, I had a bloke who did it and he really hurt me. I have had a Turkish bath before, when I went to turkey last year and it was out of this world, which was not the case this time, but you can’t moan for £10, this took place at a hotel called club Alize.
The boat trip this was the boat called memories, this boat has 3 tiers, and was a good boat. Again this cost £10 pp, which we felt was really good value for money as you got drinks and food included.
Back to the hotel and around the hotel. The staff at the hotel work a lot of hours and are happy all the time, they really did make are holiday for us. We never felt that we had to eat at the hotel, ( I have read on other reviews of other hotels this was the case) which was nice and the reason we went B&B was so that we could go out and sample every thing marmaris has to offer.
Whiles on holiday, I wasn’t very well. I had to flu, and woke up one night at 3am and really needed a drink, so I went down to see the night staff and they got me a nice cold bottle of water.
The cost of things for the whole 2 weeks we were there, eating out everyday and a lot of shopping was done we spent £900 between us. Which we found really good, as looking at going all inclusive was over £1000 each.
We will be back next year

stayed at hotel hermes for a week in august, my sister had been the year before and raved at how brilliant it was, and she wasnt wrong, the best hotel i have ever stayed in!x We arrived at about 4 in the morning, but was welcomed even at that time, which i thought was lovely..Got to our room, which was lovely, fresh and clean, with a big balcony overlooking the pool!x The breakfast is a turkish breakfast, which i found great, with coffee or fresh juice..x The pool area is always really clean, and always plenty of sun loungers to go around for everyone, the food at the hotel is excellent and theres lots of choice, the steak and the sunday dinner is especially delish!!x The entertainment at night is brill, with staff dances, and the entertainment like the break dancers are fab! All the staff, mehmet, batman, james, wayss, alex ozzy, eddie, jacob are briliant entertainers,,, been home two week and still got the holiday blues, cant wait to go back next year, this time for 2 weeks, id recommend this hotel to everybody!!xx
