“Worth seeing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2013

It is a little bit hard to find and I would advice to go only if you have your own car but it is quite a nice church. Unfortunately the arches in front of the church were destroyed in the eartquake two years back, as well as the tea garden in front of the church. The owner is quite devastated by this and tries to do his best so please do not forget to give him something when you leave.

“Yedi Kilise seems to be shut due to earthquake”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2013

Travelling in our own car , we found the Yedi Kilise uphill about 10klms out of town.
It is situated in a dirty village with cow poo all over the place and lots of flys in summer. Village has lots of emergency housing from the earthquake in Oct 2011. The gate was locked and no one spoke english or seemed interested in assistance . We were told later that it is closed due to the earthquake ??
Not worth the bumpy road from town as we only saw thw front door and the inscriptions above it.
