Very nice hotel, clean rooms and friendly staff. The restaurant is also delicious! Nothing more to add except that I recommend the place.

The Boma is an exclusive guest house in expansive, landscaped tropical gardens. It is about 10 minutes from Entebbe Int Airport, perfect for late night flight arrivals for travellers enroute to Bwindi National Park for Gorilla Trekking. It is also a comfortable base to relax and freshen-up before flying from Uganda.

The Boma is an original 1940's homestead with ten comfortable rooms, built around flowering courtyards. The rooms are clean and have modern creature comforts including: tv's, fans, mozzienets and wifi.

Facilities include a large, inviting swimming pool, alfresco relaxation areas and a terrace restaurant with firm favourites on the menu bound to please most palates. There is also a decent winelist and small bar with satellite TV.

Rates are USD$ 155 per dbl room per night including a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day.

The front of house and service team are efficient and helpful - The Boma Guest House is close to the airport, comfortable and clean and offers value money in Entebbe.

Conveniently located 5 minutes from Entebbe International Airport, the Boma Guest House is comfortable, convenient and cosy - the perfect place to stay following an overnight flight or a dusty safari. For those seeking relaxation, there are lotsof hidden nooks and crannies for curling up with a good book, as well as the extensive tropical gardens and an elegant pool area. Rooms combine colonial furnishings with African fabrics to create a homely feel; this is complemented by the friendly service and the assurance that a hearty and well prepared meal awats you at the end of the day...

Excellent stay and in a way a shame it was only one night as a stop over from airport before travelling to Kisangati. Room was great. Clean, good bathroom, food was ok, grounds lovely. Very impressed with email correspondence to book the place in advance - alwayd prompt and informative. Pick up service from airport worked smoothly. Nothing negative from either of us except we wished it was more than one night!

After three months of working in rural Africa, my wife and I needed a break - somewhere where we could relax, eat a few good meals, take a few nice walks, read, swim, and spend time together. The Boma fulfilled all of these expectations to the fullest. It's well located in Entebbe, with easy access to most of the major attractions (the wildlife refuge, botanic gardens, beaches, restaurants, etc), but - really - there's not much reason to leave the grounds. The restaurant is excellent - we ate from every section of the menu and were always very pleased- the pool is a beautiful spot to relax, and the gardens are quiet and lush. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. The bar is well stocked (notable exception: Guiness). The coffee with breakfast every morning was French pressed and a highlight.

The negatives are few and not particularly consequential: they use a solar energy system to heat the water, so there usually wasn't hot water for showering before 9:30am; the in room televisions only get 2-3 channels (CNN, BBC, and Mnet Movies) - I wonder if this is an intentional ploy to encourage you to leave your room and enjoy the rest of the grounds; sound often carries from people talking outside of the room into the room itself.

Compared to the prices of most of the luxury hotels in Kampala and Entebbe, the Boma is a great deal and more than holds its own.

This small hotel is cozy, quiet and stylish. Me and my family stayed for two nights after a two week tour of Uganda. The rooms are charming and clean, the staff attentive and extremely helpful. The restaurant is great (try the homemade icecream!) and overlooking the small pool-area. The graden and pool are well maintained. The atsmosphere is 'colonial chic' and the decór is full of great little details. Though it is not the cheapest option in Entebbe, it is the best.

We choose this place as departure point for our trip to Ngamba Chimpanzee Island and later before departure from Uganda, very convenient.
Our suite with balcony was cozy, quiet and just enough space. Nice hotel setting with garden area around, decorative lounge and good restaurant overlooking pool area (we did not use).
The old ceiling fan in the room had a 'tick' and the other fan was noisy, but only in the early morning we heard the planes departing. No mosquitoes.
For when we returned from the island, we booked a dayroom before our late night departure, but had to leave that room already at 17:00 hrs (pricy). Unfortunately that day room was also right next to the walkway to and from the swimming pool, a bit noisy. Internet connection was good and staff accommodating otherwise.
