We were mainly using the hotel for our wedding reception, but had also booked rooms for ourselves and family for a few nights.
At all times the hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful.
The rooms were clean and spacious, and as others have pointed out, the view is superb.
I would like to say a special thanks to Ms. Nawar for her excellent assistance in arranging the reception. She managed to make the whole experience hassle free from start to finish.
I have experienced the hotels restaurants on several occasions previously, and again we were not disappointed in the quality of service, and the food presented.
Highly recommended to anyone visiting.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view, so no difficult choice required.

Stayed 2 days 1 night. At this resort which is 30 minutes from Dubai.
Charming hotel with very attentive staff.
Pool and beach both very commendable and it was a change to be in a 'normal' hotel with good old fashioned service. Glad to be away from all the glitz and glamour of Dubai hotels.
This hotel although quite old was immaculate and very clean.
Well kept gardens, beach and pool area.
The food is amazing! Breakfast was to die for and real bacon!
The hotel even has it's own full size bowling alleys.
Only problem we had was a faulty AC unit in our room but I will not downgrade my rating because of this as it could happen anywhere.
Well done to the management team here. Excellent.

Room Tip: Get a high floor room fir great sea views.

Ajman is the smallest of the U.A.E.'s seven emirates and 35 minutes yet a world away from Dubai. The centerpiece of Ajman is the Corniche which is a 16km stretch of beach overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The Corniche boasts a wide variety of shopping options, including souks, markets and malls as well as restaurants, cafes and shops. The beaches are idyllic with wide spaces of soft white sand, warm waters and gentle waves. You’ll find expats and locals strolling along the beach or families enjoying their beach side holiday. At the end of the Corniche tucked away in a secluded cul de sac, you’ll find a jewel of this Emirate, the Kempinski Ajman.

As you enter the resort, you’ll find a grand foyer with high ceiling, sparkling chandeliers and marble floors. This is the grand dame of Ajman hotels and you feel its gravitas as you enter. It was the first five star hotel in Ajman when it opened its doors fifteen years ago. Ever since it has been welcoming guests from around the world and you’ll often hear Russian, German or English with Australian and British accents. You’ll find couples on a romantic getaway or families there for an extended stay of two weeks. You’ll also find locals and expats from nearby Dubai and Abu Dhabi on a “staycation” taking the short trip to feel as if far they are away on a tropical island. They do vacations right at the Kempinski Ajman and many of their guests are repeat guests coming year after year to escape the bitter winters in Europe or for special occasions.

After you get past the opulence of the hotel, you’ll then be amazed by the picturesque setting out of doors. The Kempinski Ajman is at the end of the Ajman Corniche and you could not dream of a better beach. The Palm tree lined beach is wide and expansive and never a feels crowded The sand is soft white and powdery and the water is refreshing with waves perfect for frolicking with the children. You’ll often find couples strolling while holding hands along the flawless beach after breakfast or under the moonlit night.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful as well with the large free form pool with swim up bar, Cabannas and lounge chairs for a day of relaxation. There are manicured grass areas, tennis courts, play areas for the children and even a putting green.

The accommodations are exactly what you would expect from the Kempinski brand and a five star hotel experience. The rooms are a blend of Arabian architecture and contemporary style with the Bedouin décor with Moroccan lamps and tent canopy bed. The bathrooms were nicely decorated and had a separate shower and bath and luxury amenities. The terrace outside was comfortable and another living space with excellent views of the sea and the spectacular sunsets.

I also had a chance to enjoy the K Lounge, which is their executive lounge. It was a comfortable environment to read, relax, use the internet or watch TV. Each day they had a selection of canapés, sweets and beverages. At night there was a cocktail hour where vacationers mingled and chatted about the day’s adventurers.

The Kempinski hotel chain began in Germany in 1895 as a restaurant. Ever since, noteworthy cuisine has been part of the company’s DNA and the Kempinski Ajman is doing its part to uphold the tradition. There were numerous dining options from Italian, to Chinese, to Indian, and continental. The dining experience was fantastic starting with the lavish breakfast buffet. A room full of dishes from omelets to dim sum to Arabic dishes in an imaginative offering of dishes to satisfy every palate. Guests dined indoors or alfresco on the terrace overlooking the manicured grounds and the beach beyond.

Another great dining option was the waterfront restaurant Zanizibar overlooking the ocean and beach. They offer a full seafood menu as well as a selection of steaks and Arab BBQ dishes. I had the mixed grill platter with lamb chops, beef, and chicken. It had an excellent presentation and was fresh off the grill which was just a few feet away. At night Zanaibar is a romantic seaside restaurant with flickering candles and stars and moonlight setting the mood.

I always love to experience something new when traveling. One of my unexpected delights at the Kempinski Ajman was the Bukara Restaurant. From the moment you enter, you know that you are not in a typical Indian restaurant. On the walls there are copper pots and tapestries as you dine on rustic wood block furniture. Off to the side you’ll see the open kitchen as chefs prepare fresh breads and other Indian dishes before your eyes. Bukara is not the typical Indian restaurant of predictable briyani or curry dishes. This is northern Indian cuisine so although flavorful, it is not the typical spicy Indian food. You’ll find the hotels guest there, but also Indians from around the area with families as a testament to the authenticity and deliciousness of the meals.

My feast began with the Tandoor Jhinga which was Jumbo prawns marinated in a rich blend of spices, masalas and yoghurt. Next I sampled the Dal Bukhara, which is a combination of black lentils, tomatoes, ginger and garlic simmered overnight on slow charcoal fire and the restaurant’s signature dish. I really enjoyed the Gosht Anjeeri Mahitawa Champ which was baby lamb chops marinated in fig juice, ginger-garlic, yoghurt and spices, cooked on a flat griddle and with pomegranate sauce, and served with pickled caramelised onions. I also sampled the Paneer Tikka which is fresh cottage cheese marinated with salt, yellow chillies, carom seeds, cream, and slow cooked in an earthen oven. The service is very good; from the host who welcomes you to your servers. Even the award winning Chef Manoj went out of his way to welcome us and ensure that everything was to our liking.

There is so much to do and see in on the property and in the Ajman area from the malls, shopping and spending time in the Corniche. For those who want to go to the “big city” they provide a complimentary shuttle to Dubai Mall and Mall of Emirates as well. Back at the resort, they have a number of bars and lounges with sports bars with big screen TVs, to a music lounge with nightly entertainment. They’ve even got a full size bowling alley with neon lights for a fun night out.

In short, the Kempinski Ajman is a destination resort that is passionate about providing their guests with the perfect vacation. It is a full service resort where you’ve got it all there on the property. From the location on a wonderful beach, to the pool and other facilities, the dining experience and rooms; the Kempinski Ajman is a vacation experience you will cherish.

Room Tip: Get the K Lounge package. Great snacks all day and evening cocktails

I have stayed at the Kempinski twice now and both visits were exceptional. Many of the staff remembered me from my first visit. Everyone was eager to help. It was quiet and clean, and has a most beautiful view! It will definitely be my hotel of choice, as I anticipate I will be traveling there again soon. Could not have been more pleased with my experience. Highly recommend it to anyone. Susan

Check-in staff very pleasant and helpful Room lovely and all rooms overlook pool and fabulous beach This hotel although a bit older in age compared to top class hotels in UAE made every attempt to ensure you had a wonderful stay I would consider this a little bit of heaven less than a hour away from hustle and bustle of Dubai and a welcoming relax to get away fro it all Well done Kempinski

Room Tip: Great beach and love the little drinks buggy that drives up and down the beach to keep you cool

The hotel is situated on the very end of Ajman corniche, which is basically downtown and a place to be, the true beauty of the place lies inside the hotel walls, which carries an air of exclusivity, as the look from the street does not necessarily promise much. The lobby and the corridors are welcoming. The room we stayed in was amazing with a beautiful view of the Gulf, the bathroom is very spacious and well lit. I was a little bit surprised that the king size bed was not a single mattress but a double, but we survived as it was very comfortable, and the room service did not have everything available from the menu, but they were really kind and eager to assist us, so I believe they had us make a better choice then we originally had. The poolside is great and the beach as well. The hotel restaurants are very good, we especially enjoyed the little Indian place called Bukhara if I'm not mistaken. A nice weekend.

IF you are thinking a UAE holiday starts and ends in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, then think again.
That said, it is difficult to see what recommends the tiny emirate of Ajman beyond some classy hotels that single it out for closer attention. Some of the high-end brands have (somewhat surprisingly) set-up shop in Ajman.
Kempinski was among the first. In a country where so much is new, this property has clearly been around a while, but from the lobby inwards there's a quality that belies the slightly shabby, but evolving city beyond.
The service is what you would expect of the brand that runs Emirates Palace and - travelling on a last-minute deal - our sea-facing room was great value for money. The bed was one of the most comfortable these bones have experienced in a long while. But, on a World Cup weekend with matches extending long into the night, we didn't see much of it as time was spent in one of the lively hotel bars watching football with a mix of locals and guests.
A pleasant pool with bar demands a dip but the beach is the star here and a deep expanse of golden sand is patrolled by a buggy plying cold drinks as waves provide the soundtrack.
There are several dining choices, including an apparently top Indian restaurant, but our deal took us to the main restaurant for buffet dining. What it lacked in choice it made up for in quality and wine pricing that doesn't take mock your wallet like so many other UAE eateries do.
KHA is an ideal getaway for folk living in the emirates and a good, relaxing option for returning holiday makers seeking to check out more of the UAE.

Room Tip: While I didn't see other rooms, I'm guessing sea view is the only way to go.
