Absolutely great hotel and relaxed vacation for a very resonalble price. The shuttle transfer to the beach hotel (Hilton Resort and Spa) worked fine and the beach was a dream, as was the pool area. Go for it!!! It's worth it!

I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton because the company booked the accommodation. The front of house service was good a swift check in allowed me to get to my room in under 15 minutes. The room was clean and tidy and all you would expect for the price being paid, there was little luxury. The bathroom was basic. The shower was not working and needed the hose to be adjusted before any water would emerge, a power shower it wasn't. The toilet seat had a crack in it, which at best is unhygienic and at worst a down right health hazard. I visited the pool bar before dinner, again the service was good, but the bar felt like a throw back to the late 60s early 70s. Dinner in the restaurant was at best average, having chosen from the a la carte menu, I would have expected better. That said with Hilton in the name my expectation had been raised and I left feeling let down. Roadworks between the airport and access to the hotel is also problematic and caused me a very round about drive with Sally Sat Nav continually telling me to turn a round!

Stayed two nights on a family weekend trip. Found it to be a very welcoming hotel with staff prepared to go the extra mile to be helpful. We will definitely go there again. The only negative thing about the hotel were the lifts that were very infrequent and slow.

Originally booked into Hilton city hotel, was offered to move across the road into the adjacent Doubletree and given a palatial suite upgrade which was very much appreciated. Seem to really go the extra mile for Gold members.

The city Hilton is dated, but very comfortable and homely. The Doubletree is more modern with good facilities: the rooftop pool and bar is a highlight, as is the spa where we had one of the best massages ever experienced. I cannot recommend it enough.

Service is outstanding, special mentions to Mohamed and the German guy (sorry for forgetting your name!) whose hospitality and service style was really top notch.

We didn't use the shuttle to the Beach resort as taxis were readily available and cost 10 AED each way, without any of the waiting or risk of missing out as it was full.

The beach resort is outstanding in terms of facilities, with a huge stretch of beach, umpteen swimming pools and a range of restaurants. Definitely a 5 star resort. Get there early (before 9:30) if you want one of the cabanas by the pool.

One issue we had was with the cost and service in the beach restaurant which left a bit to be desired. My feeling is that with the large number of guests on all inclusive packages, the beach restaurants are less well equipped to serve paying customers. Given the high prices (110 AED for lunch exc drinks) one would expect slightly better service. That said, the issue was dealt with very professionally when raised.

All in all, I would heartily recommend the Doubletree, and the connectivity with the other properties is a great selling point.

Stayed here for 3 nights. What a mistake - I should have stayed at the Hilton across the road which I had used before.

This hotel is full of tour groups from Germany and Europe (they even have pork in the buffet) and feels like a 3 star European property.

Cheap and cheerful yes, but not a place Id ever stay at again.

Room Tip: Get a transfer to the main Hilton if you can - its 2 mins away (pay the extra)

Dear tonyb_174,

Thank you for your time writing you comments which we appreciate, we are disappointed to know that your stay with us was not that enjoyable and expected.
We agree with your that Hilton Ras Al Khaimah hotel is still the first destination for many valuable and regular guests who are coming back to enjoy the warm atmosphere, the very familiar sitting area in the lobby and the restaurant, and the view of the pool to the creek, even after we opened our new brand hotel Doubletree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah which has different privileges like modern and big rooms, panorama view to the city form the unique Treetop bar, the spa facilities, and the top floor 24/7 GYM overlooking to the creek.
We can say that we offer two different properties for different traveller’ needs and attracts, however both hotels are welcoming the same nationalities from all over the world for the long stay to two- three weeks’ vacation , or for weekends , from everywhere , hence we will spare no efforts to make all our guest happy and extremely satisfied.

Again, Thank you for your time, wish welcoming you back to our hotels.

Best Regards,
Mohamed Moneim

The hotel is clean and modern. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and most comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great with a partial view of the mangroves in the Creek.
Most of the clientele are European (German and some Russian speaking guests). Hence, the front desk staff are also from Europe.
We used this hotel as a staging post on our way in and out of RAK for our holiday before moving on to Dubai and then to another beach resort in RAK.
However, it is perfectly possible to have a holiday by staying at this hotel as it offers a frequent bus ride to the Hilton Resort and Spa. Lots of the guests use this facility. Alternatively, it is only a short taxi ride away. We had arranged our hire car from the Hertz desk at the Hilton Resort and Spa which worked out very well.
As we had a very early flight on departure the hotel kindly arranged for a taxi to pick us up, giving us peace of mind.

Thanks to the previous reviews it was a good choice for us.

Room Tip: Ask for a Room with a Creek View.
