stayed her in march for 8 nights and enjoyed our stay.
rooms were more than spacious and everything worked as expected.
pools looked nice but as previous guests have stated space is limited and we chose the beach area as we preferred the peace and quiet at the far end of the beach..pool bar staff very good and drinks also good.
tried the Lebanese restaurant and the food was excellent but it was empty the night we ate here.
the buffet restaurant served the usual fayre but loads of options at the salad bar but more focus should be on local cuisine or Turkish as east European food lacks taste/spice. waiting staff also seemed a little unsure of what to do and needed prompting from managers.
entertainment isn't our thing but the shows we saw were well done and sounded ok.
we would return here but some things need improving

a plan of the hotel layout would be nice and the 24hr reservation for restaurants seems stupid as when you walk past the places are empty.

the staff here are from around the globe but surjana from the cigar bar and aayeen from the entertainment team were really friendly and talkative. many thanks

Room Tip: ask for a balcony as it looks like some don't have any just a sliding door and rail

Have just returned from a week at this hotel and have to say that it exceeded expectations.. the staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much hassle or too much bother, but while attentive they weren't too omnipresent either.

The rooms were spacious and really clean (you'd expect in a brand new hotel) but nonetheless the standards are really high, good finishes and the staff again are every helpful - extra towels that kind of thing.

We eat out a lot in London and hotel buffet food can be a bit bland, and to be fair there was the occasional meal where we felt it could have been better - but in general really tasty, good quality and worth trying everything that is on offer. Italian was particularly good. Salads a plenty too and given the temperature being on Ultra AI was great as there was a always water to hand and in the evenings the bar areas are lively without being raucous so you can always find a quieter area to relax.

Breakfasts are really good as well... we've stayed at other Rixos hotels in the past and this is definitely on a par with them and they have never let us down in the past.

Tip definitely make use of of the spa area - the service was lovely, one of the best massages I've had..and space is super calming..thoroughly recommend an afternoon spent in the spa - earlier in the holiday the better as its the ideal way to unwind..

Pool areas were great... lots of loungers available..

We'll definitely be going back later in the year!

I was staying at Rixos Bab Al Bahr for a week with my significant other - we wanted to get away from chilly European March :) While I am not a picky person, when it comes to hotels ( although I know what it means to stay in 300gbp/night hotel in London that literally stinks! ), my partner takes such things much closer to heart! Given some of the negative comments, I am surprised we did not encounter any issues at all making us both very happy with our stay (ok, check-in took a bit longer than expected, but this can happen anywhere). But, let me get back to our experiences.

We were very happy with our large deluxe room with beautiful sea view (ca. 200eur/night)! Room for this level is larger than I have seen anywhere else, so it is definitely a plus. When it comes to size - that's what I can say about the beach, 2 swimming pools and SPA! I think we tried most of hotel's amenities and it's always possible to have private space without feeling cramped. Staff was helpful as well, so if we needed something that was missing - all was delivered in no time! Hotel has several restaurants (5-7, cant remember exactly), offering a wide variety of cuisines - local, Turkish, Mediterranean and European. So it's definitely possible to suit most most tastes!

I'd like to conclude saying that me and my SO were very happy with our stay. All facilities were clean and well equipped. And if anything was "not right", the staff made up for it and resolved our little caprices!

My husband and I have just returned from an 11 night stay at the Rixos, unfortunately I wouldn't return because the hotel is just not for us. Check in was fine, one thing I really didn't like which I recommend they do in the future is when we arrived I would have appreciated someone taking the time to sit down with us and explaining the way everything worked the location of the restaurants etc we did notice them showing certain people around the hotel, locals to Dubai they were trying to impress! The decor is fine, rooms a bit on the small side, one of the worst things for us was the bed - neither of us had a full nights sleep our whole stay, I actually pulled the bedding back to check it was a proper mattress! The hardest thing I've ever slept on. I know I am fussy but there certainly isn't any wow factor there for me (not sure if the people writing amazing/out of this world have any comparison!?).
Pools are fine although there are going to be serious problems here when the hotel fills up, there's not anywhere near enough room round all 3 pools, again a suggestion is they really need an adults only pool, the Russians and their kids have got right on our nerves. The staff round the pool were brill drinks before we even asked for them and they work really hard. Surprisingly for the first time ever the entertainment team were really good guys, didn't bother us at all if they asked we said no thanks that was then end of that, we had a really good crack with them everyday.
Restaurants are the usual, main buffet restaurant is the usual buffet slop - catered for the Russians, only open were the Fishbone - fish slop - only went once, think Tesco fish in parsley sauce - urgh! Meat point ate there most nights quite good but quite a limited menu, Italian ate there a couple of times, a bit chaotic and long waits between courses, nothing special, Lebanese wasn't for me, greasy meat. Drinks are excellent good choice of cocktails and really nice wines. Restaurant and bar areas are lovely, think Madinat style if you're familiar with Dubai.
The staff are absolutely excellent I must mention Mary, Anush and Caffoor they were brilliant through our whole stay. Please do the English thing and tip them! They work very hard for the money and have to put up with rude Russians who can't even muster up a thank you most of the time!
After 11 nights still can't way up the Ultra All Inc? It's just an all inc? It is a shame because the hotel is good it's just not for me, when I'm in Dubai I like to know I'm in Dubai!? This hotel feels quite generic and could be anywhere? Location was also a problem it was further out from the city than we thought, cabin fever was setting in for me. If you are happy to stay put then that's fine.

Be warned this is a Russian hotel.

i stayed in hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of March. After check-in which was smooth and quite quick compering to some other stays in USA and Europe, i got really lovely room with great ocean view. Since I prefer Italian cousins I ate dinners in their Italian restaurant, where food was great. i will stay one more time if I come to Dubai.

Stayed as a group for one night. Enjoyed the all inclusive facilities of the property which adds to the value of this new property. There were no gaps in perceptions (as a new property) and expectations which has translated into our satisfaction. Staff at reception, outlets and outdoor facilities were courteous and trained. Minor snags as a new property is expected which we understand is being taken care. Good luck and wishing all the best

We were in Rixos Bab Al Bahr in the beginning of March 2014 for 7 night with our family and small daughter 5 years. We really want to recommend this hotel to all travellers with kids. Kids club Rixy club is amazing. Our daughter liked it so much, she spent there all her vacation during we were enjoying our holidays. And first time we really had time for us. Rooms in the hotell are very large, we was staying in family room, no problem with cleaning at all, with very beautiful views to the sea. We really enjpyed animation program in the hotel and every evening there is something different and was new for us. The best compliments we can give to the restaurants. Food starting from European and continue with traditional dishes. Large beach and two huge swimming pools was very surprising for us, as this is one of the most important for our vocation. Next year we are definitely come back. As we are just in love with emirates and now there is real ALL as in Turkey or Egypt, we will go there next year again!
