“Lovely get-away!”
Reviewed 8 April 2014 via mobile

I stayed here for a few days as a quick, close get-away from the craziness that can be Dubai. Right from the start - booking, checking in and all the other services I had there, everything was lovely. All staff were polite and helpful, and the facilities were very nice. Rooms nice and big, comfy bed, selection of international tv stations in multiple languages. Maybe not the most modern resort, but certainly the lovely atmosphere and great pool/beach option make it an ideal place to unwind for a night or two. They have lots going on so ideal for a group getaway or family break too.

My friends and I stayed here for 1 night as a weekend getaway from Dubai - we were a group of 6 and had 3 rooms.

We arrived early in order to make the most of the facilities and our rooms were ready straight away which was nice. Unfortunately our request for the rooms to be next to eachother wasn't met and one of the rooms had a double bed when we had requested all of them to be twin rooms.

The pool was a little crowded so we spent the day on the beach by the beach bar. Ordering drinks from there was SOOOOOO painfully slow - at times we waited up to 45 minutes. However, the drinks were good value and we also took advantage of the happy hour on margaritas! We also ordered lunch there but the food wasn't very nice - the burgers were horrible. Overall, a nice day at the beach - we ordered shisha to smoke and some of us went down to the watersports hut and hired a pedalo, there were also jet skis available.

In the evening we went to the buffet restaurant for dinner. It didn't look very appetising and there wasn't much to choose from. Some of us ordered from the a la carte menu but again the service was dreadfully slow - especially considering there were hardly any other guests there! The food was a lot nicer than the buffet though. Breakfast the next day was ok - not the biggest selection at the buffet but it was reasonable.

One big plus were the rooms - they were a really good size and extremely clean. Fully stocked mini bar, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. We also had a really good sized balcony which was nice to sit out on.

Overall, we had a nice stay and it was definitely great value for money. The service needs improving though and so does the food!

Room Tip: We had a chalet room which was really nice.

We loved this hotel. Unfortunately our flight from Manchester had been delayed which meant we didn't arrive at the hotel until nearly 11 pm, however as soon as we checked in we were taken through to the dining room where the staff had saved us a selection of meals even though they had closed an hour before. Throughout our stay all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable, close to the swimming pool and beach. We were glad though that we had upgraded to a deluxe chalet as these were in a much better location than the standard cabanas.
Food was all buffet style but was of good standard and was always kept hot, and there was always a lovely selection of salads and cakes.
It was fairly quiet in the evenings when we were there as although the hotel has bars open, most people just seemed to go back and sit on their balconies after dinner, and there isn't anything else nearby unless you get a taxi. That suited us perfectly, but if you like a lively night life then it probably wouldn't suit you.
There were plenty of interesting looking excursions on offer, and the hotel also offered a shuttle service to a shopping mall on certain days although we didn't bother with them as we have been to Dubai before and as we only had a week we just wanted to relax and this was a lovely place to do that.
We really enjoyed our week and would definitely consider going back.

Loved the beach bar and the pool bar.
Room was very good, love the idea of windows opening up to the pool and beach.
Loved the food as well, had a wonderful chicken cajun burger and now months later cannot think of going to any other regular burger joint.

It would be great if the temperature control pool can be warmer, in the cold weather it still felt very cold. Also if you can get longer beds for tall people.

Again on our wedding anniversery another lovely dinner and a cake .We cannot fault this hotel or any of the staff. We will return and have already planned this .

Room Tip: We had a deluxe cabanna room 337.This overlooked the gardens and the main pool with a side sea view...

Located on the beach, this quiet and peaceful resort is perfect for families and couples looking for a relaxing retreat.
As a special Valentine day treat, my partner booked the Valentine package, which was also a celebration of our anniversary.
On arrival we were disappointed from the start.
The staff announced that they had ran out of king size bed and we would have to have 2 single beds. At first we thought they were joking as we had booked a valentine package, however they showed us the room, with 2 singles and offered the solution to push them together!
There was no lock on the beds. It was extremely uncomfortable, with my partner waking up the following day and complaining about his back.
Furthermore after strolling along the beach in the evening, I really wanted a hot shower, which again was a disappointment with the water temperature not even reaching luke warm.

The dining experience to be fair was 5/10 but the breakfast selection was terrible.
The staff were not attentive or even alert. I asked one for sauce and 15 mins later he returned!!
Luckily we had visited Spinneys, so we ate back in the room.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any friends, unless they were making a long journey and needed somewhere to rest for the night.
Even then I would pre warn them to bring their own food.

As we were celebrating Valentine and our anniversary, we expected alot more than what we received.
It was extremely disappointing and not worth the money spent.

I stayed in this hotel in March, perfect weather for Emirates holidays. The hotel could use some renovation, bathrooms could be newer and cleaner. Animations were quite funny - russian diva who absolutely cannot sing but seems to be a local star.
Food was great, international but with indian touch, so if you like curry you should be satisfied.
Pool small but ok once it got too cold on the beach.
Compared to other hotels in Ras Al Khaimah - i would recommend this one for people who want quite rest on the beach. Hilton hotels for example have no good beach and are more like city hotels.
Despite all that i had good time in Bin Majid, for it's price it was really decent.
