Perfect location for families as it's quiet and there is plenty of grass around the villas for them to run around and play. Ask for a sea (lagoon) view as some villas just face each other.
We stayed in a full villa, which comfortably slept 6 of us (inc 2 kids) with a large lounge/dining area and plenty room to unpack. There is a kitchen but don't expect any equipment - dishes, cutlery etc. Just empty cupboards, oven and fridge. The villa was spacious and well maintained but a bit faded.
The main pool was great although there is no proper shallow end and the kids pool is still out of action. Food at Caesar's Palace was good but as with many restaurants in dry Sharjah, it was very quiet. Cafe Undici is just by the entrance and is a very popular spot for locals and visitors to hang out drinking the excellent coffee and ice creams. They also serve breakfast there.
The Marbella resort is within walking distance of the Blue Souq and not far from other attractions. Overall, a great location, fantastic place for families, good value, lots of space, peace and quiet but starting to look a little faded.More
