I have stayed here in August 2013, during the Ramadan. The hotel is lovely as you can see in the photos. What i liked about this hotel is the beach is very close, you walk from the pool to the beach. One of the things i did not like was the owner of this hotel obviously owns another hotel across the street and guests staying there were allowed to use our pool and the beach area. Time to time it was crowded so we could not go to the pool. We were not given towels, the lady explained that they do not have clean ones and will not get till next day, after 20 minutes we saw that they were handing out towels to the locals and people staying across the street. The towel lady was pissed off all the time. The reception people and other boys at the towel desk were very lovely and helpful. They can even speak Armenian and russian. That was the other thing, i felt i am in russia, probably 50% or more of the guests were from Russia. Dubai is like Thailand, every second person speaks russian. Our travel agent was Alfa tours, which is run by russians I think, never book anything with them, poor service, very disappointed. The hotel provides buses from the hotel to the city centre. this was quite an experience. all the russians were pushing everyone to get on the board the first. The lady Asmik who does the tours for the hotel is a big liar. We booked a romantic tour on Kleopatra ship. As it was Ramadan we could not find anywhere a bottle shop, she promised us that during this dinner we will be given a glass of wine each and we would be able to purchase more. We were so excited for the romantic dinner we were going to have, firstly the minibus driver was late, secondly it took him an hout to collect others from different hotels, so by the time we got to the pier I had enough. The guy at the ship was unorganised, it took him 20 minutes to let us in as he could not find booking confirmation or smth. We were given a small table which we had to share with another couple, all the tables were divided in that way. I asked the waiter about alcohol and he got very angry and said that no alcohol on the board. We hated every minute we spent on that boat, so we decided to leave the boat, waste our $160 and walk at the park instead.
