The Al Noor Mosque is located along the Buhaira Corniche beside the Khalid Lagoon. It is one of Sharjah's largest and most well known mosques.
The mosque was built in 2005 by the order of the wife of the ruler of Sharjah. It is built in classical Ottoman style architecture and has 34 domes and two minarets which are over 50 meters tall. The mosque is designed to accommodate over 2000 people. They also have a separate area inside for ladies.
The mosque is open to tourists for only one hour a week on Monday from 10 to 11 am.
The mosque looks very nice just around sunset.
