Stayed here in the Super Loft for 2 nights in November 2013. The advertised rate in the lobby was $339 per night but I paid less than that by making a booking through reservas.com.

The super loft is on the top level of this 4 level hotel and faces the Rambla and Rio del Plata. There are lifts in this hotel.

This unit has a large balcony with table and chairs so you can sit outside and see the sunsets and all the activity on the Rambla in the late afternoon as everyone uses it as a meeting place. It also overlooks the pool. I was unsure as to how secure the railing was so I did not want to lean against it as there was some movement.

Inside, there is a lounge/kitchen area that had a sink, microwave, small fridge and minimal eating utensils.

There is a double bed and a pull down sofa. TV and air con.

The bathroom is of a good size with shower, toilet and bidet. There is a separate hand basin with good space on the vanity.

Good continental buffet breakfast was included in the price.

Onsite parking for a few cars and there was adequated extra parking on the side streets.

Also on site was a couple of free computers with internet access. the wifi did not work in the room). There was also spa and massage services available. Staff were friendly and bi-lingual.

This hotel is not near the town centre or old town so a car or taxi is needed unless you want to walk everywhere.

I think this hotel deserves its good rating that it gets on Tripadvisor but for those looking for a bit more character, it could be a bit modern for your taste. I would stay here again.

One of the newest hotels in Colonia, so well-situated and very comfortable with all facilities. Rooms are very spaceful and modern. Our 3 nights in Colonia flew away so fast , but we had very enjoyable and really pleasant staying ,coloured by the sunsets on the river every evening.

We stayed 6 nights in this hotel, too many for what the hotel offers.
We rent a golf cart outside because the hotel carts are very pricy .This is what made our vacation a Must!
The walking distance to the main road is ok but walking to the Historic District takes more than 2km.
The flies and Mosquitos eat me up and I had to search for a local pharmacy to get a help.
If you need some extra cash ,no way less than 2km walking.
The rooms are ok,,the Riverside suite where we stay ,has no privacy in the balcony area at all.
I chose this hotel following the Trip Advisory reviews but I made a big mistake! My fault!

Really nice hotel with massive rooms on the outskirts of Colonia. We were given an upgrade as it was out honeymoon. Room was huge with a separate living area, kitchenette and large balcony overlooking the river. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Colonia and is a very cheap taxi ride. Nice breakfast and pool area. Friendly helpful staff.

If you just plan to stay at the hotel this is a good chioce when it comes to rooms (cool interial design) and pool area (comfortable sunbeds and nice pool). However when getting hungry you will have some issues. The restaurant offers decent selection but is severely overpriced. The alternative is a 45 min walk to the city center or to order a cab getting there (approx 140 pesos).

Our take is that the main purpose of getting to Colonia and staying the night is to eat in the old city center by night. Then this is most likely not the prefered hotel.

Room Tip: Do not pay extra for river view, you will get enough and better views of the river from buquebus ferries anyway!
