New in town, we fell for the old building and nice parasols to eat. Red wine tasted like acid; staff told me this is normal. Pizza (4x the price of a delicious chorizo sausage from the grill elsewhere) tasted like frozen supermarket food, bad tasting base, no herbs, no taste at all and it felt respectless how this restaurant treated food and opportunities. Staff was not involved at all. So instead of making something beautiful out of this treasure (building), it was a shame how food and tourists were approached. After so many wonderful restaurant experiences in Buenos Aires, it felt almost hostile. Not a warm and inspired welcome in Colonia del Sacramento. Fortunately, we found great places in Colonia later on.
