“One of the highlights in Vietnam”
Reviewed 13 July 2013

We did the My Son Tour and Cooking Cruise. When we booked, we assumed we would be part of a group, but when our awesome guide Truc (Mr T) picked us up we realised it was a private tour. On the expensive side but definitely worth it for Mr T's humour and knowledge about My Son Sanctuary (which is incredible) and the local area. The 2nd part of the tour on board the cruise boat is also fantastic (6 friendly crew members for just the 2 of us). Food was delicious and fun to prepare, and chugging into Hoi An after lunch is a delight. Highly recommended.

“Wow best night ever, so memorable”

Gorgeous evening on a lovely boat with beautiful people. Had the evening cruise to ourselves, very romantic. Food was outstanding, way better than I had expected. Paper lanterns were a special moment. Totally recommend, you won't regret this!

“Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food, great evening.”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

Very reasonable price for a lovely meal and a trip up the river. I booked for 3 and there were 3 other couples on the trip. I had two very picky eaters with me, and they tried nearly everything that came out and enjoyed so much of the food, the cruise was lovely and first half was quite a scenic trip, then it became quite dark, so the trip back was mainly enjoying the food, drinks were extra but very reasonably priced. Candles given out at the end of the trip to float in the river, very nice touch. Well worth going.

“So Expensive for what you got !”
Reviewed 30 April 2013

We just want to others to be careful with this one. It could have been a case that it is new owners or something as they have only just opened again for dinner cruises after being closed down for a few months. They sure were not prepared and as sweet as the waitress was it was so hard when she didn't understand or speak any English. We had to write down our drink orders , there was a group of us, then she had to come back and tried very hard to explain no wine on board ... took a while for her to get the message across but eventually got there, was disappointed that with the price we paid they had no wine ! So then we and other members of our group tried to order cocktails, after a while she came back and said no banana's ! We just gave up then and had beer. The food was good but way more expensive than any thing else we have had in Hoi An. The crew were lovely though but management needs to get waiters to speak some English and supply wine on such an expensive dinner cruise !

“Fishing & Cuisine Cruise”
Reviewed 2 April 2013

We signed up for the Fishing & Cuisine cruise with Cinnamon Cruises as my partner enjoys fishing. The fishing experience itself and the interaction with the locals was great - very entertaining, enjoyable and hands on. My partner enjoyed being shown the different methods and getting to have a go himself (although it's definitely more difficult than it looks and I'm sure the locals found it hilarious to watch!). We did feel that the overall tour was dragged out to justify paying $49 each. We were picked up at 2pm, the fishing was over by 3pm, we cruised around on a smaller boat for 1.5 hours before being taking to the bigger boat for a 2 hour dinner cruise. It had been raining all afternoon so by the time we got to the dinner cruise we were very cold and wet. I think it would have been enjoyable if the fishing started later (around 4pm) and we could've gone straight to the big boat afterwards. The food itself was ok but certainly not amazing, There were no snacks included (as listed on the website) and the 'complimentary drinks' turned out to be one welcome drink each. The rest of the drinks had to be paid for. I found this a little misleading, especially after paying $98 for 2 people. The English speaking guide was lovely but he only stuck around for the first hour and then disappeared, so we had no idea what was coming next and the staff on the boat couldn't really speak English.
