I can deal with a small, moldy/dirty room with an uncomfortable bed, but we were aggregiously lied to and taken adventage of when using their tour services.

They told us our "sleeper" bus would leave at 5:30pm. It left 4 hours early. Language barrier?

They told us we would be picked up at the hotel. In reality a man on a motorbike showed up and had us walk a few blocks following him with no help carrying our luggage.

The bus was not a sleeper bus, but a standard bus with cramped leg room until we got to Hue.

They guaranteed us a "bed" in the back of the bus as it is larger. Not only did the inside of he sleeper bus look far worse than the photo shown to us by Tan Phuong hotel, also the seating was first come first serve and before we knew it all the beds were full and there were at least six of us with nowhere to sit.
The man from Camel Travel taking tickets blamed it on our hotels and told us to get off and he'd get us on another bus. After making a quick phone call he said, "sorry you will have to sit on the floor". Everyone said no. And he said then you can have your ticket back, get left behind in Hue, and call your booking agent.
Next, they turned on the engine and tried to close the door (with everyone's luggage still inside). I physically kept the door from closing. The driver inside kicked me a few times, but I kept pushing the door open every time he tried to close it. Then the driver's assistant got physical with me, pushed me, and rolled up a floormat and threatened to hit me with it.

I got photos of all the culprits from Camel Travel, but they have no tripadvisor presence besides in the forums.

Much of the blame for our nightmarish 14 hours unable to lay down on the floor of a bus, which included verbal and physical abuse lies on the shoulders of Camel Travel, but I feel nothing short of taken advantage of and thoroughly ripped of by Tan Phuong Hotel's booking services.

Be careful with both companies and avoid them if you can.

A bit on the outskirts of town but easy walking to town and right on the road to An Bang beach so easy to zoom out on your bike through the rice padi to hear the crashing waves and go for early morning swim. The sheets were white and clean, mini bar, ensuite. There are many rooms but mine was top floor a bit stuffy but great value at $ 9

Dont come with tout, Taxi or "friendly locals"!
The 8Dollars for a double room hot shower andTV in "clen" Room for Vietnam is ok. But dont expect a bargain.
They tried not to give us a room but to bring us to their homestay, further away. Much nicer for only little more they told us. We did not want to be further away as Hoi An is a place for one afternoon, not more, a very expensive shopping mall full of scammers.
No prob if you miss it you mainly missed some ancient scams, no more.

The rooms were tidy and clean for the price we paid. After reading other reviews in regards to the manager we were very wary of him however he only tried to take us to his brother or cousins tailor shop once and there was no further talk of tailoring and pushing us into tours during our stay.

Breakfast was greasy, however was included in the room. But if able to get the room cheaper with no breakfast we would highly recommend this and go to the lady two doors down for yum pancakes.

All in all not a bad place considering the location and price. A reasonable place to stay.

The staff are very pushy...constantly trying to sell you tours.
The manager is manipulative and nosy and often acts in an inappropriate way.

The food is greasy and dull.

Be careful what you tell the staff here..they are very indiscreet and will use it to embarass you.
Avoid this place like the plague!

Room tip: Don't stay here...you'll regret it!
