“special day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

I came for dinner with three friends to celebrate a very special birthday at the resturant. When we arived we were seated and made to feel like royalty. The chef cook came out to see us several times and was fantastic to talk to. The food was totally amazing and we all left having felt we had shared a really very special evening. This was all in the middle of a the tube srtike but we weren't rushed or made to feel hurried. Jordan looked after all our wine requirements and the whole evening was just wonderful. We can't thank Mr Leo and his team enough. What a wonderful kitchen he runs! And what stunning food.

I am a returned client and stayed 1 week in July.
The resort is about 20-25 minutes drive from the airport. Taxi cost less than 20 dollars. However, on the arrival day, we were overcharged by being driven via a longer route! Well, poor guys trying to earn just few more bucks!
The most thing I like about this Resort is its location. It is just about 15 minutes taxi ride from the HoiAn ancient town, far away from local tourist spots where you will have to suffer extreme noise and wild behavior of the local and Chinese tourists. Taxi from the Resorts to downtown HoiAn cost less than 10 dollars.
The 2-bedroom family pool villa is superb with 2 separate toilet area. Both rooms in 1st and 2nd floor are quite large and convenient. The king-size bed upstairs is very comfortable. The balcony is big and sunny where sunbathe is completely private because you are above the ground and surrounded by very shady coconut trees. Love it so much!
The toilet area in the ground floor is quite large and convenient with separate bath shower. The water is always hot and water pressure is very good in both floors. The towels are very white and clean. The toilet amenities however are just below average with shower gel and shampoo. Anyway, the hotel did provide us with all extra and requested towels, blankets, pillows etc. Good service so far. Each of the family pool villa is surrounded by a small garden where you can sunbath quite privately. The small pool in the garden is just good enough for the kids to do some save water plays. Of course, we spent most of the time in the beach upfront.
The Resorts has 2 public pools so we don't have to swim in often-too-crowded pools as we often experience at the other hotels and resorts in the area of Da Nang and Hoi An.
The beach is large, considered "private" with guard on duty and the sand is very white. On the first day, we had a very mild sea so we actually swam like in a “pool” with crystal clear water. It is so salty but as salty as in the Dead Sea. The last 2 days, the sea become rougher so they put red flag on the beach which mean you can’t swim. The lifeguard attitude is a plus. They never yell at you but talk to you in a persuasive manner when they requested us not to swim.

However, there are certain areas that the Resort need to pay attention to.
1. The Breakfast: even though breakfast has been improved as compared to last year but they serve simply the same food every morning. So we got fed up with the food after 2 mornings. Many of the food are colder than they are supposed to be and there is no sign saying what food it is. Hence, it took a lot of time opening up the heavy top to check what it is. The fruit most of the time is not fresh.
2. Inside Door: the door that separate bed room and bathroom and to the second floor are simply non-functioned. The French-styled locking system has clearly been broken for long but unfixed.
3. WiFi: we do have signal but we almost can not access to the internet.
4. Insects: Since lots of trees around we do expect there are insects. However, we did not anticipate they seriously bit us the second night. I recommend the hotel to do more regular insect-spray in the room. That night was horrible.

Room Tip: Do book family pool villa with room from 101 through 109 as they are true beach front

Family of 4 from Melbourne. Mum and Dad and 7 & 8 year old. Stayed 11 nights

First Impressions: ( We are Club Med's vets ) At first we were looking for a CLub Med Experience here .. Kids CLub / activities around the pool and games etc.. This place was very different for us as first.. sooooo quiet for a resort.. but the place really grew on us. We took the villa with private pool. Definitely a must with young kids so we could supervise them closely and chill out in private. Worth the few extra dollars. Rooms are very very grand... with everything you could possibly want in resort style serviced daily with green friendly option. Very private for Mum and DAD upstairs, with kids downs stairs with heaps of space to do there own thing.

Everything in the room was great and fair value for money. Excellent Buffet Breakfast everyday It is a very quiet resort and many times it felt we were the only ones there. No real organised activities - But got to play some snooker and table tennis with the kids... . We made our own fun. Three great restaurants locally for lunch and dinner. Tried them all.. ( very cheap and very friendly) .

Few Issues:
Little confusion about the complimentary water.. ( but not a deal breaker) and No Life Guards around the water or the beach. Wifi not very reliable, TV tuning poor, Little bar fridges not very cold.

Would not recommend taking small kids here that cannot swim. The Private rooms with pool had no real protective fencing/gate - no beach guard either - but beach swimming with family pretty safe most times.

Some of the fixtures bit dated ..

No real kids club just a small Kids play room for toddlers. ( oh well)

Best Parts:

Definitely the Best beach in Hoi An by far. Crystal clear clean water. No crowds and most days we had the beach to ourselves. ( Made friends with many of the local fisherman on the beach). Main Resort pool and Bar adequate but didn't really hang out much as there was no organised activities or night life around the bar.

Shuttle bus ran every 2 hours from 10am - 8pm to the main town of Hoi An was always on time .. If you miss the bus take a $5 taxi ride no stress. just 10 minute ride - perfect distance to the Old Town for nightly food excursion's

All Breakfast and Cleaning Staff very friendly ( just give em a chance and get to know them . many of them very young and shy.. .) we made friends with many of them and had a great laugh every morning chatting in English. Name tags for staff would give it a more personal touch.

Overall

A fair valued place to stay ( first impressions not fantastic) but the place really grows on you and thoroughly recommend a extended stay for maximum relaxation. Oh yerr try the spa too, great massage cheap and very relaxing.

We had fun... "relax and suck in all the warm Vietnamese experience".

Room Tip: Definitely take a villa with private pool awesome!

We stayed for three nights at LeBelhamy, Hoi An, as part of a individual three week tour of Vietnam and Laos.

Location:
=======
Outside of town, directly on the beach. They have a courtesy shuttle bus to town, which takes 12 to 17min from our experience. Very convenient. The bus was dirty. Outside the gates of the hotel are several small restaurants, a small shop & small spa "MiMis".

Premises:
========
Very nice gardens going up to a wonderful beach. We couldn't go into the water as it was red flagged for high waves and currents on those three days. Tennis and billards available. Large clean pool close to the beach and the water was warm enough (end of February). We did not try the garden pool. They take you with a golf cart to your room on arrival and pick up your luggage with it.

Rooms:
======
We had a Faifo villa. Beautiful would and stone interior. A large desk and sofa, chairs on the veranda and large king size (+?) bed on the upper floor, a flat screen TV and a fridge with some space left for our own drinks. The bed was hard to the point of uncomfortable. The safe deposit box was large enough for 15" laptop, DSLR body with attached lense plus some. But: the safe was not attached to anything (wall/closet/desk), you could just carry it away. Plenty of electric sockets everywhere except on one side of the bed. They were "ombination" sockets which would fit with European and American plugs.

Bathroom:
========
Loved the bathroom: Two sinks. All amenities. Shower in the bath tub and(!) a separate shower room. Unfortunately it was impossible to keep water in the room, so we had a bit of a flooding each morning that had to be contained with towels. Hair dryer was available. It is separated from the main room with sliding doors which offer not much privacy, so it is not really recommended for non couples.

We would've loved the villa, except for one thing: Mosquitos. We kept killing them, but there are so many cracks between windows and frame, under door, not properly closing windows that you just cannot keep them out. And I really hate sleeping in deet. :-( This cost you two points really.

One night when we returned from a day trip the door to our villa was open. We thought someone had broken in, but apparently someone had delivered a 5 dollar coupon for the spa and restaurant and had not closed the doors properly. :-0

Breakfast:
========
A good selection for breakfast (western & eastern warm breakfast). Buffet style (always kept well refilled). The cao lao was really good.

Spa
===
The spa is about twice as much as the little spa across the road. I cannot compare as we only tried MiMi across the road and that was really ok: 9US$ for a 45 min back, shoulder and head massage; 3US$ for a manicure & pedicure .

Room Tip: 402 and 403 are good rooms/villas. They are close to the beach pool, beach and restaurant. But a bit...

this hotel is not very good, we booked for 4 nights and moved out after one, stayed in a superior garden villa. The airconditioner hardly worked, the bed was a very old four poster style and creaked badly at every movement, the mattress was hard as a rock. The shower is in bath and is hard to use. towels worn out. pools were green and the kids pool was disgusting. this hotel is very expensive for what it is and they add on gst and service charge to the food bill which is included in every other hotel we stayed at. beach good, but staff assigned to. watch bathers were asleep under a tree. No refund if you leave early either. I give this Hotel 3 out of 10 much better deals around than this.

Room Tip: try a pool villa, better still try another hotel in town.

There are a range of things that this 'very good' resort could do to become 'excellent'. First and foremost it could do with a facelift - whilst the grounds and rooms as a whole are quite nice - there are very visible signs of age. On top of this the staff really need to be better trained in english and the pools need to be WAY COLDER!!! (but there's always the beach)

All in all, a good place to stay considering its one of the cheapest on the beach - IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH STAYING AT THE BEACH!!!

Room Tip: If you are staying the garden view rooms - get a room on the 1st floor, you have a private balcony l...

We stayed at the resort in a beach villa for 3 nights. It was heaven!
Swimming in the sea every day, enjoying our private pool and the resort facilities which are excellent! A great place to lord it up in Hoi An.

The breakfast, pools, gardens and free shuttle bus are particularly good.

I would recommend spending a little more for the beach side villas as they are really spectacular.
