The hotel itself is run down and poorly maintained. I agree with the previous TA review with there's mold on the ceiling and walls of the room. The room is spacious with a dresser, table, chairs and tv. Shower water was always hot and the balcony had a nice view of the pool (make sure to request a room with a pool view when booking). The room has a very similar layout to what you would see in Kuta, Bali.

Breakfast was good with a girl who makes fresh pancakes and omelette to order, and there's coffee, juice, toast, rice, noodles, veggies, spaghetti, spring rolls... About a 15 minute walk from Old Town, but they do offer a shuttle bus which runs every 30 minutes. If youre arriving by bus ask the hotel to arrange pick up.

Overall, a satisfactory stay. Compared with $24/n hotels Saigon, Hue or Hanoi, dont expect the same high standards at Sunflowe Hotel

I have been traveling through Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam for about 5 weeks now. This hotel came highly recommended to me from other travelers. At 20$, it is maybe a tiny bit more than than the other places I've stayed but it is WORTH it. I am extremely impressed with the luxurious memory foam mattresses, high quality cotton sheets, thick clean duvet for chilly nights, the winding marble staircase with carved wooden rails and my gorgeous room. There is a free shuttle that picked me up from the bus station and takes me to town ( but it's a short walk) and the staff found a cheap plane ticket to Saigon and arranged my route to Cambodia for me. No problems with communicating in English here. The breakfast buffet is as good as you could dream up, with tropical fruit, local specialties, baguette and jam, juices and an omelet station and it is included in your night's stay. They clean the rooms daily and I totally trust the staff, which I certainly can't say about many places. They recommended a cooking class that I absolutely loved and there is free wifi and even Facebook is unblocked, most of the time! Bonus.

Travelling round the world on a budget and having to deal with rice for breakfast for a while we jumped at the chance to stay here with a full breakfast buffet including omlettes, cereal, toast, fruit, etc, etc, it was fantastic! So much choice and it was on for a couple of hours and they were always topping the food up so no need to rush down as soon as it opened.

The rooms were quite nice although there was a bit of a problem with the water pressure, however the staff were really quick to come and sort it out for us.

Location was ok - about a ten minute walk into Hoi An.

This hotel was found quickly from Agoda, its ratings were good so we chose this hotel,it wasnt the cheapest hotel we stayed in and it wasnt the best. The beds were very hard foam matresses but we only stopped there two nights so it wasnt a major problem, room service never happened unless you asked only to be told they were on their rounds very late in the afternoon. The room we were in was well presented and large, plenty or storage TV mini bar.
The best thing about this hotel which is why it got four stars is the breakfast, lots of choice and freshly made omelet, buffet style and as much as you can eat.Not badly positioned for town.

Room Tip: Check your room (beds) before you pay, cheaper places nearby but the hotel looks good.

Our stay at the Sunflower hotel is certainly one that we will remember in Vietnam.

From the moment the porters helped us to unload our luggage to the last cuddle our 20 month old son received, the service that they provided was wonderful and something to be commended on.

Housekeeping came promptly every morning. The room was large and clean, and for $20 a night was a steal.

There is a buffet breakfast included in the price of the room, and it was a welcome change to the baguette, jam and butter that we were getting from some of the other hotels. Especially good are the friendly staff members that will cook you eggs and/or pancakes to order for your breakfast. Tea, coffee and an array of juices are also on offer.

Sunflower has an attached restaurant that is open from 6am - 10pm. Considering that it rained for our entire stay in Hoi An, the restaurant was appreciated.

A bit of a walk into Ancient Town, but otherwise, location is quiet.

Oh, and these guys have a pool as well.
