I almost didn't go to this beach while visiting Hoi An because many reviews said it is crowded and touristy and An Bang beach further north (which is more popular with the locals) is much better. My experience was the reverse. There were fewer people at Cua Dai beach. The sand is clean, water was a little cool since it was March but nice to wade into though perhaps not to swim at this time of the year. There was a good breeze and or the first time I experienced what is described in books as a cool sea breeze!Sitting beachside with a tender coconut watching and listening to the waves felt great because of the breeze and not too hot sun. I did see though that there were people swimming and surfing at An Bang beach but not at Cua Dai.
