“Overly touristy beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

The sand and water are beautiful, but you're better off going down the road to An Bang beach. Cua Dai is super touristy and crowded. It's impossible to just relax without getting accosted by vendors.

“Clean and Lovely”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

The resort we were staying in (Hoi An Beach Resort) had its own private area (of about 100m) cordoned off with some large beautiful thatched covered areas and loungers. It was fairly opulent to have your own bar and meal seating area with food available to be delivered from their restaurant across the road.
The beach itself, whilst quite busy, was not overcrowded and it was very clean. Very much like Karon beach in Phuket, it didn't have the crazy activity of say something like Patong or Kuta. There were areas for jet skiing as well as paragliding, and it gave off a calm yet vibrant atmosphere. Being part of the South China Sea, the waves were not big, and swimming was pleasurable, even for those who may not have been overly competent in the water. It was fairly shallow and did not seem to have a lot of debris or sharp rocks hidden in the sand. Many people were walking the expanse (about 3-4 klms) up to the next beach. Overall a very relaxing place for a swim at all times of the day.
A word of caution for those who have not been to Vietnam before. Wear a hat and loads of sunscreen - the heat is probably the most intense direct sunlight that I have experienced in any South East Asian country. It was amazing to see so many European visitors uncovered all day - we could tell because of the lobster colour that became very quickly. How many cases of sunstroke were there?

“A good ride from Hoi An”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014 via mobile

The ride there is good to see the rice fields and get out for an afternoon.

I thought the beach was average.
It was clean and the water was good but there wasn't much happening along it besides the few seats with umbrellas.

Though I maybe biased coming from Australian beaches.
