Travelled to Hoi An on the way back from London. Stayed at sunrise for 7 nights and loved it. The Resort is almost brand new but the staff has been well trained. The pool is spectacular (there isn't easy beach access, but we wouldn't have used the beach anyway as the pool was so nice).

Breakfasts were a highlight (great mix of Asian and Western food to mix it up). Nice room size, as expected though for five star.

Spa isn't super cheap but was nicely done (I prefer to pay a but more though and use the hotel spa rather than the cheaper places in town).

They run regular shuttles to Hoi An which is convenient although you can get a taxi for only a few dollars anyway which is more comfortable.

Will certainly be coming back as soon as we can!

Dear Jil H

Greetings from Sunrise Hoi An!

Thank you for taking the time reviewing our resort. I am glad you enjoyed your holiday with us. In regards to the beach access i need to apologize as we are currently running through the monsoon season and therefore our front beach is accessible however with restrictions and we do recommend that our guests using our side beach which is equaly enjoyable. By the end of the monsoon season guests will be able to fully enjoy all areas of the beach again.

I do hope to welcome you back soon.

Warm regards

Dear Suzie R

Greetings from Sunrise Hoi An Resort!

Thank you for your comments which i can partly follow but i do not agree with your comments on a "Aging Look and tattered fixtures + lack of love and care". As in any new resort and you will need to agree that if you checked with the same eye for detail the resort in Danang you stayed, you will realize that new resorts will always have areas of improvement and we will be further progressing.

The shuttles to town are running from 10 am till evening time however there are simply limitations and i belive that compare to other locations we are on top by providing up to 400 seats capacity for shuttles.

As for the price the competitive reports show that we are leading in best offers and availibility.

Warm regards

This hotel is incredibly smart and stylish. Don't get me wrong with the 4 stars I would go back but Vietnam is a competitive place and customer service is so incredible. I was planning to hang out at the pool but didn't in the end as I wanted to be in hoi an every second. Shuttle bus into centre is easy, rooms are big and beautiful, service is good and views are lovely.
Be careful with the laundry, not cheap and they lost a pair of underwear. They did refund all the laundry though. Drinks and food aren't cheap and yes it's still in fine tuning but £60 or so a night, brill

Dear JoanneLucy

Greetings from Sunrise Hoi An Resort!

Thank you so much for you wonderful comments which i will gladly share with my team. In regards to the comments on our food and beverage i need to highlight to you that we are offereing lower prices than some other places along Cua Dai Beach.

Softs and local beer at less than 3 usd or a cocktail for approximately 6 usd is way below the average international 5 star hotel pricing and i do think we are in line as my prime focus is to make it reasonable for our Longstaying Guests.

I do hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Warm regards

We booked a suite which ended up being bigger than our house, with spectacular views of the pool and site of the private beach sadly washed away following a typhoon.

The hotel is enormous and is the last hotel on the road, therefore the furthest away from Hoi An. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and efficient. The hotel, finished in January, is already showing significant structural problems such as indoor rain on the walkways, copious rust and patched up finished in the rooms. While we were there workmen were repairing the facade.

The good; the food is excellent, the ambience great, the pools luxurious and the staff better than most. The bad: quality of housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired and smoking in public areas seems to be encouraged rather than tolerated.

If I come back to Hoi An I will return to Sunrise - if it's still standing.

Room Tip: Get a suite if you can

Dear GeraintD.

Greetings from Sunrise Hoi An!

Thank you for your positive comments and review and also on your observations on our issue we faced with water leakage during the heavy downpours. We are in the midst of rectifying this issues therefore you could see the workers which worked on the facade to close any areas which caused this leaking.

I have also taken note of your comments on the smoking in public areas and will be working on this matter in the near future.

I do hope to welcome you back and please feel free to contact me.

Outstanding service, beautiful setting and great food. Really relaxing and romantic getaway. Knowledgable and friendly staff at the tour desk who dont rush guests to make decisions. Complimentary shuttle bus into Hoi An every day was an added bonus.
