Basic, clean rooms. Bathroom very clean and quite new. Decent shower.

We had to leave at 4am for an early flight - the night receptionist got up (he was at our door when we were leaving) was very helpful in calling our cab when it was late and carried our bags.

Good budget option. No frills.

We just checked out this morning..have stayed two nights at lucky house...It's abut far from the center, but hoi an is a small city...its still walkable...
We stayed at room201, its really big and clean...king size bed, clean bed sheets, nice mattress and pillows.
********
Do not buy tour from this hotel!!!!!!we asked the owner how much for the my son tour, their poster on wall said the tour included eng speaking tour guide, transportation, entrance ticket, cold water, cool face towel and lunch box on the boat.
And the owner told us it was 7.5 USD per person which was 145k VND, I asked him twice if it included all theses showed on the poster, and he said yes!!!everything!!!

But it turned out that we had to buy the entrance tickets by ourselves which was 60k vnd per person, no cold water, no towels at all!!! And when we came back to check out and paid the tour, the owner charged us more than what he told us!!!
He wouldn't admit that he told us the entrance tickets were included!!!
I pointed at the poster and repeated what he said yesterday, told him we had to buy the tickets and its different from what he told us...he just denied it..and used his really poor English trying to say he didn't know what he was thinking yesterday...
Still forced us to pay 210k!!! And said he was helping us to book the tour...
So mad!!!! I will never come back to this hotel again!

It is important to remember this is a $20/day hotel, so don't go expecting a 5 star stablishment.
This hotel restablished my faith in budget travelling. Clean, spacious and well located it has only three minus points - not serious enough to diminish it's pontuation - no breakfast and some employees strugle a bit with English ( nothing that stopped them from helping me find a tailor, book tours and call me when a friend of mine called reception asking for me) and the door has glass - so the light come through at night.
I would recommend it anytime.
I stayed on room 201.

We had originally booked for 2 nights but stayed for an extra 2. The room we had originally booked was unavailable but they were quick to give us an upgrade. The owners were extremely helpful (even gave us a ride to the post office with all of our bags of new clothes) and the room was very clean an modern. Hot water didn't last very long in the shower and the location is a little further out of the main part of town, but just a short walk. All in all, one of the best places we've stayed in Vietnam.

We stayed that this hotel for 7 days and never found to much wrong with it for $17 per night. This is a family ran hotel and they were very nice to us. It's only a short walk to the river where all the night action is so the location is good. We had a problem with the bed one night as it collapsed...but no problem as they put as in another room for the night. The bed was repaired in the morning so we moved back in. As no breakfast was serviced but there but are plenty of small cafe's nearby. Would I stay there again....yes!!
