“A little gem in Hoi An”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 December 2013 via mobile

We spent 3 nights at Hoi An Chic and had a lovely stay. The setting is very peaceful and we enjoyed not being in the centre of town.

Rooms were stylish, clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed breakfast overlooking the paddy fields every morning.

As per previous reviews, it's the staff that make this place so special. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, from the reception staff to the gardener.

A special thanks to Xinh who helped us when our travel agent sent us the wrong train tickets. She spotted the error, liaised with the agent and helped us get a refund and book new flights. A little star!

We have just spent 6 nights at the hoi an chic hotel and it was just beautiful. We had the cheapest room which was so spacious, included an outdoor bathtub and shower, and beautifully decorated!
All of the staff were wonderful, and friendly we loved chatting to them, always smiling!
The jeep into town was so convenient! We wish we got to use the free bicycles more as it was cold but we still rode around a little which was beautiful!
We were initially here for 3 nights and then booked an extra 3. Our first room had a wonderful view of the rice paddy fields, you could see farmers, ducks, cows, dogs whenever you looked outside. The second room had no view (which was fine) however was quite loud in the morning. We could hear lots of noise from people getting ready for the day and did not have much option to sleep in. This was fine for us as it gave us time to make the most of the day but just something to be noted if you get a room closer to reception. We were on the second floor.
There were so many little things that made the hoi an chic so lovely. The staff mad the experience for us! So nice and always smiling. Fantastic stay in hoi an!

We were delighted to stay at this hotel which is less than a year old. Located a little out of the Old Town which is not a problem as there is a free shuttle service. This is in the form of an old army jeep which only takes approx 5-10 minutes and is quite exciting. Staff are extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are obviously very modern, huge and well equipped. Our private courtyard contained a second shower and bathtub so we could choose to shower inside or outside. Beautiful gardens and views overlooking local rice paddies. The included breakfast had everything you could possibly want and was just so peaceful looking out to the gardens or watching the locals in their rice paddies. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here!

As all the other reviews have said, this hotel is a delight and one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. Quite a way out of the Old City but we enjoyed cycling there on the hotel free bikes then returning to relax in the peaceful location afterwards. Great views from the rooftop infinity pool and we enjoyed the breakfast served by their friendly staff and was offered a good choice.

There are less expensive hotels in Hoi An, but the value you get for the money here is unbeatable! From their environmental philosophy to the staff's warm and welcoming nature, you should not consider staying anywhere else.

I have traveled through a lot of Asia and as much as I enjoyed the Ancient City, I would not want to stay right in all the action as it's too loud and too many people are trying to sell you things. Hoi An Chic provided the perfect escape from this.

The hotel decor lives up to it's name and was simple, but homey and creative. I literally wanted to buy the artwork created by the staff although I was told it was not for sale. The Grand Chic room was amazing, with a bath suite that I could have spent a lot of time in had I not been so tired from sight seeing. My favorite part was sleeping with the sliding doors open to the neighboring sounds, which would not have been possible without the wonderful screens that room had.

Breakfast options are unlimited and very tasty! Borrowing a bike to ride around and explore is a wonderful amenity and way to see the Hoi An area.

I did use the hotel's travel agency to hire a driver & guide to go through the Cham Museum in Da Nang and while the cost wasn't any more expensive than any other service, I didn't like the guide. He was a bit devoid of personality and didn't give me that much information at the Cham that I couldn't have read about myself from the plaques on the walls. If you do use the travel service, my advice would be to get very specific on what you want to do and the type of person that you would like to spend your day with so they can make the match.

I would definitely return to Hoi An Chic on future visits.

The staff were really lovely and our suite was very comfortable and individual, with elegant modern interior design. The shower was very very hot indeed and came with a warning on it!
The rooms look out onto lush rice paddy fields, and you can breakfast outside while watching village life as you indulge in their delicious coffee and delicious omlletes made to order. The pace of life is much slower here. A great thing to do is to take a tour to Myson for the day, and the bike tour to the little islands is excellent value and not to be missed, as it's a great opportunity to see how the Vietnamese Islanders live.

Room Tip: Our room was near the restaurant on the ground floor.

Feels like a home away from home, except more exotic. The staff are extremely friendly, warm and genuine. They all know your name, always greet you and are cracking jokes constantly. They get so emotionally attached that we almost felt guilty leaving. It's like a big family. The outdoor bathtub in the basic room is very nice, and the huge bathtub with a view in the more expensive rooms is beautiful. Definitely one of the main highlights was the jeep to the city. There is a schedule for a free jeep to and from the town centre, or you can hire it outside these times for 70,000 VND. We had so much fun riding in the jeep. We also took a tour to Danang where we rode in the open jeep along the coast and through the mountains. Amazing experience! This quaint little hotel in the rural setting is full of charm that anyone would fall in love with.
