“Excellent new hotel”
Reviewed 15 December 2013 via mobile

Stunning pool area, good bedrooms, and helpful friendly staff make this a good option for Hoi An.

It's slightly out of the centre (5-10 minute walk) tucked away down a quiet, pretty dark street beside one of its' sister hotels in what is otherwise a residential area of the town. If there is any reason to fault the hotel..this is it - Vietnam is generally quite safe, I believe, but some travellers may dislike the walk back late at night.

We spent 3 days in hoi an staying with Vinh Hung Emerald throughout. While not in the centre of town, we hired bikes for 1usd per day and were able to get around easily - less than 5mins to town.

At the hotel itself, the pool was brilliant as was the poolside bar! Restaurant breakfast was good and the reception staff were very helpful.

If you stay here, wander to Mrs Sa across the road if you need a cab back to the airport, I reckon we paid about half the meter price to da nang airport.

The breakfast buffet is very good. A level of outstanding professionalism was shown by all of the staff. I can only say positive things on this hotel. The cheaper rooms are a little small but the bathroom is large enough and very clean. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a great selection of foods. I can only say positive things on this hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights and found the hotel very nice, great room with a view over the river and pool. Location is good with a short 5 minute walk into the main part of Hoi an, good to be away from the busy streets. Directly across the road from the hotel there is laundry for $1 per kilo across the road but don't pay extra for ironing, pushbike hire for $1 per day and a massage salon. We used the transfer to and from Da nang airport for $18 each way, not too expensive for the 45 minute trip

Great location, walking distance to the town which is gorgeous. (Many of the other resorts in hoi an are situated on the coast - not as convienient to the town if you want to try restaraunts visit the tailor etc.) the staff are delightful and excel in personalising your stay. They remembered my birthday and made me feel very special. Breakfast is great, lots of healthy fruit and new options each day. The iced Vietnamese coffee is delicious a must try! Restaraunt great value, though wasn't very busy. The pool is lovely and the garden well kept. We stayed in the poolside room (cheapest option) and that was great. We stayed in the river view room too, which was more expensive but not too different. The spa currently offers 1/2 price massages (about 12 usd per hour). Between 2 of us we've had 5 massages in 4 days! Mostly they were good, though one a little rough with my face, and one Swedish massage a little amatuer. But For 12$ i can hardly complain and the ladies are lovely. We rented motor bikes opposite the resort at 4 usd per day and rode to the beach which was fantastic. I can't fault this resort, we kept extending our stay as we didn't want to leave and it was so affordable. Highly recommended.

This elegant modern hotel is located on a quiet islet adjacent to the historic old town. Its tastefully decorated rooms face the river or the beautifully landscaped gardens and pool. An ample buffet breakfast is served in the hotel's lovely restaurant overlooking the pool and the river beyond. There are nice places to eat and have a drink on the islet, itself, and many more just across a short bridge (a pleasant 10 minute walk from the hotel). It'll take a bit longer to reach the main market or authentic local cuisine like Miss Li's. Or the hotel's helpful staff can arrange a taxi at a moment's notice.

Room Tip: River view rooms offer the most privacy, nicest vistas.

This hotel is great value for money. The staff are very attentive and the hotel itself (including pool and rooms) are at a very high standard considering the reasonable rates. We booked this hotel hoping that it would be quiet considering it was slightly out of town. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were kept up all night long by continuous motor boats going up and down the river. They are so loud that it's sounds like a helicopter! It should be noted that we were in the last room (closest to the river). Additionally, there was another very loud motor next door to our room that continuously hummed all day and night.
