The pool was great, the food and breakfast were also very good! The staff at the front desk were very nice and directed us to a tailor (which obviously they got commission from) but was still a nice tailor. At reception there was one girl who tried to sell us a taxi to Danang (I'm sure they get commission from that aswell) we had already found a bus which was less then a third of the price, we told her, she wasn't happy, which was unpleasant. Our room was reasonably clean, but it was slightly disturbing that we could hear woodworm in the wooden bed head, we didn't complain, which now I realise was probably a mistake not to. The breakfast, pool and location were great, and I would go back, but would have the confidence to speak up.

We stayed here for one night after deciding to stay longer in hoi an but finding the internet deal we had with previous hotel was no longer available. This hotel was a lot cheaper nice pool ( be careful of yhe slippery poolside.) The room was good. The hotel was a short cycle ride from centre of town. The street had lots of real restaurants not orientated towards tourists. Which I liked. You caneven walk to bus station if you use Google maps. I would stay again.

The hotel told us they had suffered damage from the storm the day before and were unable to accommodate our first night’s booking and sent us to their sister hotel, the Huy Hoang River Resort for the first night. The next day, when we booked in again, we only had a choice of twin beds (which we’d had for a week now due to various occurrences), or a ground floor room which was “quite damp”. For just one night, it was OK. Would not have wanted to spend more than one night there though. Loud laundry noises, mould up the wall, quite smelly. The next day they moved us to 208 overlooking the pool on the second floor. A much nicer room, overlooking the pool with a double and a single bed. Cleanliness still wasn’t high on the list. The next day as we were going out shopping, reception stopped us and told us we had to move again. This was the fourth room in a six night booking and I was not happy about it. The new room is also on the second floor, but has the laundry above it, very noisy from about 6.45am and the toilet was extremely wobbly, could not put any weight on it at all. The air conditioner leaked water down the wall, though maintenance were able to fix that. The hotel needs a good clean. The surfaces are done, but if you look under the beds (which we do after we’ve packed up everything in case something has rolled under there), it’s pretty dirty and an array of things like empty water bottles etc. The toilets are stained and two of the three rooms we stayed in had significant mould. It’s a budget hotel and the rates are OK. It’s saved by its location within easy walking distance to Hoi An Ancient Town and its pool – the pool is pretty crowded and heavily chlorinated, but blissful after a day exploring.

To be honest, after travelling Asia now for the past 5 months we have seen our fair share of hotels and guest houses. Huy Hoang Garden Hotel really let vietnam now when it came to service, there's nothing nice about getting yelled out because you are walking down the only hall way back to your room and house keeper is mopping... This happened to both my husband and I on separate days and we encountered it happening to another guest staying there too! There was also a very rude young lady who didn't bother to smile or in fact say anything when you approached her, head down playing Facebook and even gave us different prices to the other receptionist for the bike hire??

Value? Rooms are okay, average size, fridge, can second the previous review about beds being hard! We had very sore backs after 3 nights... The pool was the best bit. Very hot in Hoi An so a nice cold pool that is shaded late avo was lush! The breakfast is buffet, no meat option but can ask for eggs to be cooked any way and pancakes as people have mentioned, they also have the normal toast and fruit assortment with tea coffee, juice and noodle beef soup if you want something local. 10 min walk to the old quarter, there are local food shops between hotel and old quarter though so foods never too far.
Motorbike hire is 100,000/150,000 a day, push bike 30,000 . Wifi signal is good. Air con good and general cleanliness great.
Just didn't enjoy they scowls and dismissive attitude from the majority of staff there. We paid 19USD so was a good deal for us but I would be dissopointed if if paid more!!

This hotel would definitely get 5 star for everything if they updated the rooms.

The pool, breakfast and staff are all brilliant, especially for the price paid. The pancakes and general selection at breakfast is great!

The location of the hotel is also okay, there is a short walk to the historic centre but it only takes around 5 minutes. The hotel is not convenient for the bus stations however so consider a taxi if you have been bags, we didn't to our peril!

The only let down was the state of the bedrooms (which we asked to change twice). First we were put in a room that had severe damp and mould and then the shower had been broken in another. The rooms do have flat screen tvs but the decor and just needs some work.

I probably would still recommend this hotel, just because it is good value but would say that it is important to get the right room!

We stayed for five nights in the hotel and it was great. The staff is really friendly, especially My, she really wants to help you and she had good ideas for tours and shopping. We can highly recommend the half day fisherman trip. Furthermore consider a massage at the massage salon in the same street, relax and good price!

The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool is really nice for swimming and relaxing after a hot day. The breakfast is a nice buffet with enough choice including pancakes and fresh fruit! Good price/service.

If I ever will go back to Hoi An I definitely will stay in this hotel again!

We arrived to Hoi an by bus and when getting off the bus, we looked across the road and the hotel was directly opposite, we were very happy! We checked straight in (few hours early). The room was nice, however the beds were so hard that we woke up with back ache. The pool area is small but nice. Breakfast is decent and we also ate here for lunch one day which was nice. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the centre. We hired bike one day too, to cycle to the beach which was definitely worth it.
