Vaia is an excellent, new, and upgraded hotel in Hoi An. It is on the fringe of the central area which is nice because it is quiet and you can walk or bike everywhere. We walked everywhere for the first two days until we felt comfortable biking around Hoi An, which was a lot of fun. Breakfast was excellent with great choices. Room was a good size and the bed was super comfortable. The shower is a walk in with a rain shower - so luxurious!

Stop next door to The Ocean Tailors. Ane is so sweet and it is very convenient for stopping back to try on your clothes and ask for adjustments. She gave us great prices.

Why Not? Bar is around the corner if you want a late night dive bar.

The only negative side was that the hotel is cash only, and we had to make sure that we had enough cash at checkout. With ATMs limiting how much you can take out, this took some planning.

We stayed here 2 nights and had a wonderfull time. We experienced a warm welcome with drinks and even got a beautiful cake waiting for us in our big room for our honeymoon. The hotel is very new, clean and especially our bathroom was beautiful! There is fast wifi in the rooms, and otherwise you can use the computers dowstairs. Everyday they serve between 4 and 5 pm free cocktails, that you can drink outside on the terrace. We loved the mojito's !! For breakfast you can choose from some options. It was simple but tastefull. The staff is friendly and helpfull.

The hotel is located just outside the old centre of Hoi An, but it's a very short walk to get there. You can use the bikes free of charge as much as you like. We cycled to Cua Dai beach and the other day we went with the bikes on the boat to Cam Kim island to cycle there. Both nice trips.

We booked the room in Vaia Butique in July 2013 for a stay in December 2013. Three days before our arrival we received an email from the hotel that they made an overbooking and we were offered the room in Cua Dai Hotel. We agreed but when we arrived it appeared to be a disaster hotel. When we complained, they found us a place in Hai Au Hotel opposite the street which was very nice. Anyway, we lost over two hours on changing the hotels and that wasn't nice. We felt really disappointed. I can only give two stars because they make effort to find another hotel, better than Cua Dai.

This charming relatively new boutique hotel is located just outside the old city. I had a beautiful room overlooking the main road which was rather noisy (had to use ear plugs to sleep) but it was superbly equipped with lots of space. I loved using the bicycle offered free by the hotel to drive into the old town with its pedestrian roads and shops. The service was exemplary- Susan the lady in charge speaks excellent english and could not be nicer. She organized for both transfers from/to Da Nang airport. The rest of the staff did not speak good english but they tried hard. The a-la-carte breakfast served in the lobby was adequate but not extensive. The wifi worked well. I used the laundry services which was turned around within the day. A great property!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the back of the hotel as the rooms in the front can be noisy!

We took the night train from Hanoi to Hue, planning to spend the day exploring before going to Hoi An. The Vaia hotel sent a driver to meet us at Hue station in the morning, and he drove us all around the city to 4 or 5 impressive sites before braving the flooded roads and rainstorms to get us to Hoi An.

The Vaia hotel was a great place to stay. The town flooded while we were there, but the hotel is on high enough ground that it stayed dry. Reception very friendly and helpful, good wifi in the rooms and 2 convenient PCs in the lobby, reasonable breakfast, a nice cocktail on the house in early evening. Made the most of the free bikes to cycle to the beach too.

Room Tip: The family suite was a great set of rooms for 4 friends - 2 rooms with a connecting bathroom.

Even arranged for post office to come to us to send things, reasonable value airport transfer, very clean, nice a la carte breakfast, free cocktails, free tea coffee in receoption and room, lovely staff and even though there was a mix up with the booking they didnt charge us for the extra nights. Free bieks were an excellent bonus. Used laundry too.. good job. Overall the staff were the highlight. Cant think of anything to complain about

This hotel is just outside the main old town of Hoi An but its an easy and relaxing walk to the sights. There is a nice reception / breakfast room which is always manned, and rooms are well appointed and exceptionally clean. They are very modern, and have everything that you need. Windows are small but they do mention that before booking. It is far better than I was expecting.
Being a boutique hotel it does lack a pool, bar etc but who can complain at the price! For what you pay this is great. Free bike hire is available, and there are many good restaurants near by.

The only downside seemed to be the noise that carried from downstairs and the corridors into the rooms. I would take earplugs for a sound night's sleep.
