“great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2014

Great location, just a short walk to downtown area, lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. Rooms were very nice, comfortable and cold a/c. Great shower and bathroom, enclosed glass shower with rainhead, very nice and refreshing. Nice ammenities, wi-fi, free alcoholic beverages in evening and free bicycle rentals.. Good choice of breakfast menu items, and friendly helpful staff, would stay again if visiting

Stayed for two nights to try out. Good modern hotel. Clean rooms with a room safe. Good English breakfast. Paid $29us per night and not pre booked. Was solo but did include for two. Many cyclos around if you do not want to walk the short trip to the old township.

Room Tip: The more you pay the more you get.

We stayed with VAIA for 5 nights and were treated like VIP guests from the moment we arrived. Both Susan and Lisa were very attentive, helpful and more than just friendly. They made our holiday even more special because no matter how small or large a request they made extra effort to make sure we were happy and got everything we needed. Location is walking distance from the old market and they have free bicycles. The room is clean and nice and the price is a great deal. They even celebrated my fiancee birthday with us and the whole experience was nothing but amazing. Thank you to VAIA and we will come back and tell our friends about this place!!

Room Tip: As always when you travel bring ear plugs and sleep mask just in case of noisy guests or a quick nap...

This hotel is situated between the old town and the beach. the old town is walkable, whereas the beach is a little further and you would need a bike or motor bike. the hotel rent bikes for free! Wifi is free, fast and readily available.Breakfast is very good and included in the price. Staff are quite friendly and helpful.

We booked two double rooms, however one room was a twin with the beds pushed together. The hotel is slightly more expensive than others in the area. I would give the hotel 4/5, but I was a little disappointed that a booking for 2 double rooms wasn't fulfilled when we made are booking months in advance. So I will give them 3/5 as the hotel is pretty average and what you would expect for $50 USD a night.

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam in its price range. The staff was all smiles and was very helpful with everything we needed done.

Pros:
-Great breakfast
-Excellent service
-Perfect location between the beach and old town
-Can walk to the old town, bike to the beach
-Simple free bike rental

Cons:
-Can hear everything from the hall and neighbouring rooms
-The standard room was quite small for two people

Room Tip: Perhaps book the deluxe room for two people, as the standard is quite small.

After booking, we received an email offering a collection service from the train station, $25 for four of us. Probably a little more than from a normal taxi but to have someone waiting (which they were) it was worth the extra. We arrived early at the hotel, 8am and paid for breakfast that morning ($3 each) but were able to check in early which was great after an overnight train from Na Trang.
The hotel is clean and modern and the staff very friendly, remembering our names every day. We had our laundry done here (again, a bit more than usual, 50,000 dong as opposed to the 20,000 in Na Trang) but it was all returned on time and none missing unlike Na Trang!
The poached eggs were a little over done but overall, the breakfast was one of the best we had since we left the UK in February. Fresh fruit served afterwards and unlimited tea and coffee.
Good location IMO - a short walk from town.
Free cocktail between 4 and 6 - only tried a mojito one day but it was far too sweet for my liking, but still, a very kind gesture.
Would stay again.

We stayed at Vaia Hotel in Hoi An for 5 nights. The hotel is located in 5-10 minutes walking distance from the old city center. Free bikes are available for you if you like. The interiors are new, modern style and room was specious and comfortable. Breakfast is good, you have a choice from continental breakfast, eggs/omelette, muesli/yogurt/fruits thing and more. Coffee and tee is free whole day and there is a nice little cocktail offered in the afternoon. The receptionists are very friendly, helpful and always with a smile on their face They arranged a trip to My Son site (with the funniest guide) and transportation to the airport in Da Nang. We will surely come back to this hotel if we visit Hoi An again.
