Very nice hotel with lovely grounds and pool, which was too cold in January to use, but didn't have time for the pool, was too busy exploring the old town area, which is only a very short leisurely walk away. Room was spacious and very clean. Did have to change rooms because of the rising damp in a wall area and smell was overpowering, no problems changing room, Was given a lovely room with a balcony away from the back street. This was not the only hotel I had problems with the air conditioning/heating, it didn't work and room was cold and too late to call front desk. Shower over bath has a design problem as there is a 'lip' around the bath and the water flows along this and past the 1/2 glass screen onto the floor, so made the most of the beautiful deep bath, don't leave anything on the floor though! When on a tour you could always do with an extra night or two and this hotel would have been perfect for that to explore the area more leisurely and also enjoy the sensational choice of restaurants. It was a perfect time to be here and seeing them getting ready for "Tet" / the New Year festival which was at the end of the month. Local free bus service can take you to the beach area too.
