Flight from Melbourne delayed two hours, bad start, but hotel pickup at Danang Airport there on time, as usual. Arrival and checkin pleasant and friendly, as usual this fussy guest requests a top sheet on bed, no probs it is there with warm welcome, cool towel and drink. Next morning greeted at breakfast like long lost son, wonderful, weather a bit cool but improving with each day, first swim today, everything in Heaven is fine.

We left after one night in a "grand suite" a travel agent booked (rack rate over $300 with breakfast). Room was large but gloomy and lacked charm. Shower was small and cheap. Toilet leaked at base. Bed was rock hard. Halls were uncarpeted and noisy. Breakfast and pool fine, reception staff was friendly but others seemed dutiful but dour. We made a run for the Essence, which is fab at under $90 w/breakfast.

I was room 347 at back of hotel. Quite noisy out back and for some reason, someone was drumming at 8am.
Room was good but shower could of been better. Pool area was nice and quiet with pool clean.
3-5 minute walk to centre of town. Wake up call never came for 7 am on leaving day. Staff did not smile much here and staff around bar and pool gave me the impression that you were a bother to them.
Breakfast was good and plenty for all with some outdoor seating. I did like this hotel. Pity about a few odd staff.
Hoi An is a vibrant town with plenty to do and if you are there for more than 48 hours. Get a suit or dress tailored. It is excellent value especially at Yalys.

The property is located at the edge of the main street through town. The grounds are large, well-manicured, and lovely. The pool looked appealing but the weather was unfortunately not conducive to swimming. Our room was incredibly spacious and had a view of the pool, but the decor made it seem rather dark inside. Our only complaint was that the mattresses were too firm and left us with backaches the next day.

The breakfast area was in a gorgeous outdoor setting, and made for a relaxing start to a busy day of sightseeing and shopping.

Tip:
The hotel (and our guide) provided us with an excellent recommendation for a custom-shoe maker (Number 09 shop, 65 TranHung Dao Street). When I received my shoes the following morning and they weren't quite what I envisioned (which was entirely my fault), the shop made another pair at no cost to me so that I would be completely satisfied. Now that's customer service!

Knew nothing of Hoi An, what a jewel of a town! Hotel was a short walk from the river and the old town and was modern, comfy and clean. Quite a large complex but surprisingly quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. Would have loved to have had time to use the pool but so much to do in town. Lots of places to eat, shops where you can have a suit made for the next day, lovely lanterns and lots more....

We were booked in here on our tour and had to pay extra for a Junior Suite for 3 nights as were told the De Luxe rooms were all booked. The room (suite) was ver disappointing. The room was large with a huge bed and whatI can only described as a banquette running the whole length of the bed and facing a television. The room was cold and extremely uninviting with note vena cushion or pictures to add warmth. The designers seem to have gone for size and basics. The hotel was very busy and breakfast quite hectic with everyone collecting their choices. Reception and room staff were pleasant but other staff not. It was noisy in the evenings but not too late
