“Friendly, charming hotel”
Reviewed 18 October 2013

This is a great choice for the budget conscious traveller who likes a little luxury. Very comfortable beds, open and airy restaurant, friendly staff and a swinning pool. Situated within walking distance of the markets, tailors, restaurants, river cruises and night life or just a cheap and quick taxi trip away. 2 girls from our group hired push bikes and cycled the 2 or 3 kms to the beach which they said was fairly flat and easy pedaling. There is an ATM next door and restaurant that sells very cold beer and very hot food (spicy) across the street. Cheap too! If this hotel had a lift instead of many stairs to navigate, it would get the excellent mark.

Room Tip: No rooms better than others from what we saw

Had a great stay in this hotel. The pool was clean and tropical. The breakfast was international and fresh. The rooms were clean and airy. The place was fairly busy with Vietnamese at the weekend which gave it a real local atmosphere. Great location, great option for Hoi An.

Room Tip: Hidden behind every door.

We wanted to stay here for 2 nights but moved to the neighbouring Hai Au hotel for the 2nd night. The Hai Yen room costed $30 with breakfast (25$ without). But the breakfast did not look appetizing. There were flies all around and the dishes were not warm. The pool is pretty nice compared to the Hai Au pool. We wanted an extra towel after using the pool but they refused to give any. The Air Conditioner in our room was just not sufficient to cool the place. We luckily managed to get a fan for the night. The bell boy was really arrogant and refused to carry bags or the fan to the room. So all that explains why we left. The rooms are basic and average.

If you're looking for a bed, running water, a pool, breakfast and nice staff then maybe. But for me, I'd much rather go else where. The staff where very accommodating, the room was large and the pool OK. Just a cheap bed with a pool if that's all you're after...

Short walk into the old town, this comfortable and well kept hotel has the added bonus of having a pool. OK, it's not the biggest pool you'll ever see, but actually I really appreciated the chance to jump in and cool of at the end of the day. Rooms are a decent size and well maintained. You could do a lot worse than to stay here.

We stayed here four nights, beacuse its cheap and close to Hoi An old town. And thats all there is good to say about this hotel. Ants everywhere, dirty swimmingpool, no change in bathroom soaps, terrible breakfast - again with ants. The staff are actually really kind, but who isnt kind in Vietnam.
