“Rude, unhelpful staff”

We were booked into this hotel for 2 nights. Upon arrival, we were given key to room 208. Got in to the room, unpacked our bags so that we could head off to explore our surroundings but noticed that the aircond was not working. Walked back down to reception to inform them & they sent a man up who fiddled around with the control but to no avail. I returned to reception to ask could we get another room but they said it was fully booked?!? They asked us to wait for maintenance man who would be there in 15 minutes. Anyone familiar with Vietnam knows there is no such thing as 15 minutes (or 1 klm for that matter :-). We could not wait in the room as it was a furnace & we couldn't leave our room to go & explore as our bags were unpacked. The reception suggested we find another hotel....their attitude was that of "couldn't care less". Thankfully we came across a beautiful hotel called Grassland for $5 extra p/n & it was like a palace compared to the shoe box at Huy Hoang Mini. There was actually no tiles on the floor of the shower bay, only uneven cement! Give this hotel a wide berth if you want an enjoyable trip.

Room Tip: Room 208 has no tiles on floor of shower, just uneven cement. 1 window opens onto roof of next door.

To the staff,

I just want to apologize for burdening you with my presence and business. I realize how difficult it is to provide a modicum of respect and friendliness to your patrons, and I am very sorry for placing this unbearable and impossible burden upon you.

Sarcasm aside, my stay here was ruined by the rudeness of the reception staff. From the moment I arrived, to the moment I left, two of the women were dour and oftentimes rude. One was friendly, but it failed to make up for the other two. It was very disappointing, but typical, I suppose. Kind of ruined my stay.

Also, they tried to book me on one of the worst night bus operators in Vietnam. No thanks.

Oh, and they push their tailor very hard, which I found irksome. I get enough of that in the street.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is brilliant, right next to the market and walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. The rooms was completed to a high standard, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great. All in all a great stay.

After a long journey getting here we were greeted by the lovely receptionist who told us we had beed upgraded at no extra cost.
Gteat news after being on a bus all the way from hanoi.
We are paying $14 per night for our room with breakfast included and its so worth it.
Very clean with a massive bathroom and right in the centre of old town.
Definitely worth staying here!!

We booked a room in this hotel through Agoda. Our room had a street view but we 'd rather have a river view on the top floor. Thus we had to pay more : $45 per night and it was worth it. We had a private balcony to ourselves with a stunning river view. We could even order our breakfast (included in the price) to be delivered to our balcony. It was so romantic.

The receptionists were very professional. They organized trips for us and everything was as good as expected. The hotel was just next to the old town and the market. Great for shopping and restaurants. We would comme back to this hotel in Hoi An.

Room Tip: Have a room with a river view if you can afford it!

We had just basic cheap rooms with no windows and stayed for only one night. Rooms were nice including clean bathroom. I'd like to stress one thing - this hotel had one of the most professional receptionists we've met during our Vietnam trip. She's helped us with arranging follow-up transportation, trips and night trains and gave useful tips. She spoke very good English. We were so satisfied! Oh, and the breakfast was also very nice!

We spent one night in this hotel and it was great. The stuff has been very helpful to us. Helped us with booking a trip to my son and with booking bus and train tickets. Receptionists are very proffesional - probably the best stuff Ive met in Vietnam so far.

We didnt have any window in our room and it was a bit wet but the friendly people and tasty breakfast easily made up for that.

Highly recommended for travellers!
