This is worth a wander inside if only to see the huge incense burning. The is also an interesting ship, and 3D mosaics to view.

We definitely got more out of this site, and the Ancient Town generally by having a guide, I would recommend that if you want more detail and history about what you are seeing, and there was some really interesting facts to be learnt about this assembly hall.

The architecture is very beautiful, and the whole area is very peaceful and relaxing.
If you're in the area, this is definitely a nice spot to visit.

Found our way back to Fukian Assembly hall. Interesting place with giant spiral incense hanging from the root. Best was the photo exhibition of in a connecting house. We met the woman's brother who exhibited there. You can buy a cope of the photos at a reasonable price. Well worth it!!

This assembly hall and shrine is very interesting. There is a very colourful gateway, a lovely garden courtyard and then the assembly hall and shrine. Hanging from the ceiling are very many coils of incense which burn for weeks. The murals on each side of the assembly hall entrance depict the heads of the original 6 Fukian families that settled in Hoi An, and the other the goddess protecting seafarers by rescuing a founding ship. The inside of the building is very colourful as is the shrine in the hall.
