Owner description: A local favorite, construction on this covered bridge began in the Year of the Monkey (1593) and was finished in the Year of the Dog (1595), hence the monkey and dog sculptures at either end.

The Japanese Bridge is one of the old town attractions in Hoi An. It is free to enter. It is free to cross. It is free to take photographs. If anyone tries to extract money from you tell them to swim across the river!!!! These people try to scam tourists. Point them out to everyone else.

The bridge is lovely but can get crowded. Good photos can be taken from across the main river.

We found this little bridge at nice and it made for a nice photo op. We weren't charged to go across it . Lovely architecture but that's it.

A very interesting piece of history protected within a busy area of Hoi An. Worth a visit to learn the story of Hoi An. Remember to purchase travellers tickets before you go there

Great bridge but probably not worth using up one of your 5 vouchers on as there's really nothing inside.
