“Brief but informative”
Reviewed 11 December 2012

A nice quick overview of the towns history, set in a beautiful old building. If you have a spare 15 minutes then why not.

“for a VNese museum, it's great - but NO A/C !”
Reviewed 24 September 2012

4 floors, intro, geography, history, war, culture. It's a new building and not much advertised.
Most of the displays are surprisingly well done; most, but not all. I'm not much interested in the war stuff, so I walked quickly thru that floor. I liked the 4th floor which is about Vietnamese culture the best.( fishing, agriculture, baskets, tribes...) The museum is free, but it is really really HOT. You can buy bottled water, unrefrigerated, from the locked, unplugged refrigerator case behind the front desk for 10,000.

“Light should have been better”
Reviewed 12 July 2012

Information was in English but the lighting was poor and some of the cases so dark that it was difficult to read. Not much to see but somehow quite interesting. Photos of old time and some artifacts as well as jugs (as coffins in ancient time) kept the musem one of places to see. If the light were better the museum would be more attracting then.

“Housed in ancient building with some interesting pictures and artifacts”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

There is not too much to see in this small museum. Most interesting was history of Hoi An, pictures of the way it looked years ago and large jugs that were used as coffins in ancient times. Information was in English but the lighting was poor and some of the cases so dirty that at times it was difficult to read. Cham Mueum in Danang has much more and better artifacts.
