“Beautiful service overall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2014 via mobile

Can not complain about anything. The breakfast was an amazing buffet style which changed slightly each day. The beds were super comfy. Free bicycle rental which made roaming around the town super easy.

Booked 3 nights here and writing this during my first night. It's currently 4:05am as a dog has been barking near by for the last hour not to mention the rooster that has been going during the day and early morning. You get a balcony but they don't tell you it looks over into someone's backyard (where the rooster is). We have spent the last week in Hanoi and Danang staying in 4 different hotels and this ones beds are the worst so far. Rock hard (and I'm not usually fussy). Unfortunately we have come accustom to the beautiful comfy new hotels of Hanoi and Danang for $45 USD a night and are not used to the not as newly upgraded hotels of Hoi An...

Dear Rachel S, thank you very much for your recent stay and your constructive feedback. It was very impressive to hear your comment about our staff is great; however we totally dismayed with your bad experiences right on your first night stay. We sincerely apologize for all the issues you encountered. We admit this situation should have been looked after with a great deal of flexibility in the fact that our resort is located in countryside nearby. Should these concerned matters be informed promptly, we would absolutely take an action straight away and make an effective solution to make you feel more comfortable. We would definitely change to a better room for you and give you a free massage to make you feel better after a hard night.
Should you have any more suggestion during your stay, please feel free to contact us: fom@phuthinhhotels.com
Thank you again for your patience and your stay with us. We assure to make your stay more enjoyable next time. Kind regards, Huyen/ Ms.

A friend and i stayed here end of January including the Tet festival. The staff were lovely as you come to expect in Vietnam, in comparison to the previous hotel they were not as warm but in comparison to other countries they were brilliant. Everything we asked for was attended to and we received a warm welcome and farewell. the staff may have seemed slightly less attentive than what other reviewers have said due to the Tet festival and the fewer staff working as it is a family orientated time of year.

The room was nicely presented and no issues were found except for the view from the balcony that overlooked the current building works but not a big issue really. It was reasonably noisy at night but nothing that was the hotels fault. The only thing in the room that was a bit odd was they put up the environment awareness things like hang your towel up if you are happy to reuse it, but they replaced the towels either way.

The location is quite good. About 4kms to the beach which is quite a nice cycle however would be a long walk and about a 5-10 minute cycle to the old town. The map they give is very off on the scale and hence can be a bit confusing.

The breakfast was expansive and the eggs were always done to perfection, however everything seemed to run out if you wanted breakfast later in the morning and it was generally a bit colder/stale by then.

The pool area was brilliant and the lay out of the gardens was very relaxing. We used the free bikes every day and had no issues with them, a great benefit having bikes as cycling around whether during the day or night is great fun. If your not confident in chaotic traffic though don't ride at night.

If I was to return I would probably look at staying somewhere else mainly as I like more boutique hotels.

Dear Ms. Rose, thank you very much for your recent stay and your taking time to post such a constructive review. We found that your comment is valuable for us to enhance our services overall. In deed, we would like to extend our sincere apologies for any shortcomings that you encountered. Your feedback have been passed on to our management and the concerned department in order to make some necessary improvements. Hope you still keep us as a alternative address of choice, we assure to make you feel more pleasant .
Many thanks again and hope to welcome back next time. Kind regards, Huyen/ Ms.

Phu Thinh Boutique Resort and Spa was by far our favourite hotel in Vietnam. We were lucky enough to choose Phu Thinh for our three week stay and could not have been happier. From the moment we were greeted by the bell boys and security staff at the front door of the hotel the staff were absolutely wonderful and were what made our stay so incredibly special.

The prices are extremely reasonable and the hotel was really lovely and had everything that you could want for your stay. I stayed in a Deluxe Pool View room on the top floor of the hotel overlooking the beautifully kept pool and grounds. You also get to enjoy the view of the rice fields that are behind the hotel. I would highly recommend the Deluxe Pool View option as it is quiet and the view is wonderful from your private balcony.

It is in a great location situated between the old town (about a ten minute walk or a short bike ride) and the beach (about fifteen minutes on a bike which the wonderful hotel security staff supply at whatever time of day or night you require it).

The rooms are very clean and well kept and are made up beautifully twice a day including a daily Vietnamese story for you to read at night and a fresh plate of fruit every day. The buffet breakfast was lovely with eggs cooked to your liking (the omelettes are great) and staff topping up your tea or coffee whenever it is needed and attending to any additional needs at your request.

The spa was also a wonderful experience where we got to enjoy one of the best massages we had whilst in Vietnam as well as manicures and pedicures all in the comfort of staying within your resort and at a very reasonable price. The lovely spa manager Trinh will make sure your experience is everything you could want it to be!

The hotel also runs fantastic Vietnamese classes free of charge for their guests which we enjoyed taking advantage of! Lee and Nguyen were wonderful teachers and helped us to practice our newly learned phrases and interactions throughout our stay.

I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at Phu Thinh. I could list every name of every staff member that we were in contact with during our stay but I would especially like to mention some of the front desk staff who went above and beyond their roles to make us feel truly at home during our stay and who would happily attend to our every need including booking tours, transfers, recommending sights and restaurants, suggesting bike rides and minding bags after check out. I cannot thank Huyen, Thanh, Luan, Mai and Chuong enough for all they did for us throughout our stay.

PhuThinh certainly had the most friendly and helpful staff of any hotel I stayed at during my stay in Vietnam and it will definitely be the place I stay at each time I am in Hoi An. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

Dear Angela T, thank you very much for your choosing Phu Thinh Resort as your address of choice for your 3-week long stay in Hoi An. It was a pleasure to read that your wonderful experiences which you enjoyed our room with the nice view overlooking the gorgeous grounds, the pool and the spacious paddy field. We are glad that you feel enjoyable that our team did create some little nice touches such as: deliver the tale story before bed time every night during the turn down services, in addition, offering free Vietnamese classes for your convenience is to make you have better communicate with the locals, and for shopping around. In general, we would love to make you feel beneficial and pleasant during your stay with us. Our entire team appreciated for your memory of our name and in particular you comment us "the most friendly and helpful staff ". In deed, your praise is a strong moral support for us. We will keep it up and improve our service better day to day.

Many thanks again for your high rating review and your highly recommendation. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back in the near future.

Your sincerely,

We have just spent two nights in this beautiful resort in Hoi An.
So far this was without any doubts the best hotel so far on our trip. Romms are very nice, furnished in a colonila style, bathroom is big and romm is very clean. Our room had a balcony with a garden view, but it sure pays off if you give a bit more and you book a room with a pool view.
They have a nice quite big pool whic is placed in a beautiful tropical garden.
The restaurant and the bar are very nice, placed outside.
The staff were very friendly and they speak all good English, Mr Chuong from the reception was especially friendly.
The location is very good, aboutten minutes stroll to the old town and just across the street from the hotel there are some of the bestrestaurants in Hoi An. With reasonable prices and with a fresh bearfor about 15 cents!
The beach is about 3 km away, a nice morning jog.
All you have read about this hotel is true and also pictures don't lie. We were sory that we have to leave for Dalat. If we dien't book the flight, than we would definetely stay longer. Anyway, we are coming back soon, because there is much more to cover in Hoi An.
Realy excellent!

Room Tip: Deluxe room with a pool view

The staff learn your name. They provide plenty of advice and information and things just happen for you without you having to ask twice. We thought they were charming, friendly people. They try and sell extras but in a very low-pressure way and accept that sometimes travellers want to make their own arrangements. The location is good, the free bikes are really useful and the breakfast buffet just fine. Our rooms had good views.

Room Tip: Choose the north side to view the rice fields.
