My wife and I stayed with our daughter and son in law for 12 nights over the new year and we really enjoyed our stay at the Anantara. The staff from the general manager down where helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The location is great being right on the edge of old HOI AN and all of the many restaurants are in easy walking distance. Housekeeping was excellent ,and rooms are serviced twice a day. The room was very comfortable and had all of the necessary items to make our stay enjoyable.

We were really happy with the entire experience of our stay at the Anantara Hoi An and have no reservations about recommending this hotel . Hope to return one day.

My wife and I stayed in the Anantara River View Suite for 3 nights a couple weeks ago and had a great time. The suite was huge, with private balcony and two swinging chairs, foyer with seating, large living room with wraparound couch and large tv, large bedroom with comfortable bed and pillows, and a giant bathroom with two showers (one stall, one recessed tub) and a big walk-in closet. Modern furnishings with Asian design elements, very attractive. All outlets worked perfectly fine with U.S. plugs (as was the case in all the hotels we stayed in in Vietnam).

Service was outstanding. Even though the lobby was frequently busy, there was always someone available to us within 30 seconds to help arrange cars or answer our questions. Cabs came within minutes of the hotel's calling them and the airport transfer was on time and easy. We booked a boat tour of the river system around Hoi An through the hotel, which was a nice time. Tons of decent food available on the boat, endless beer and wine, very relaxing and decent value (I think around $40 per person for an hour and a half or so).

At one point we needed a break from Vietnamese food (mostly, we just wanted some cheese) so we ordered the cheese platter through room service. It wasn't cheap, but it was very large and the cheeses were actually really great. We never ate at any of the on-site restaurants or bars as there are so many good eating options in Hoi An.

Worth noting that the hotel is basically at the end of the main area of Hoi An, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main sights. We actually liked being a little ways away from the very touristy center, but maybe some people would prefer to be closer or right in the middle of things.

The only frustration with the place was that room service was so westernized that I was unable to order in a proper Vietnamese coffee (iced or hot). The coffee that came was good though, just not what I was in the mood for.

I stayed with three other girls and we had two of the suites. Nice sitting area right outside our door and nice sitting area indoors. Beds very comfortable. You are only a few steps to the market, with all the noise and commotion (and I mean that in a good way) but yet at night it is very quiet in the hotel. It is nestled back off the main road. Yet it is very close to some great eating areas. The further you go in to town the less expensive the food is. We have eaten at a few restaurants and all were excellent.

Room Tip: We wherein room 112 on the ground floor and it was great.

the hotel is a very practical but beautiful design which reminded me of some of the best hotels I've stayed in around Asia. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the garden and pool. It also had a little patio which was a nice place to relax in the evening and watch the geckos on the white walls and ceilings in the hallways - they didn't get in the room! The dining room looks out over the river but this meant that we had to make ourselves 'mozzie proof'. There were some lovely fish on the menu including Gurnod and Red Snapper and as always a good selection of shellfish. There is a colonial style bar/dining area for a more 'westernised' food experience which was also very good. The pool and general area (with bar) was good and the spa treatments excellent (and good value for money) The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and efficient.

The Anantara Hotel was centrally located in Hoi An, Vietnam. The room was beautiful with a nice outside space to enjoy on warm nights. The staff was competent, helpful and friendly. They had a free breakfast that was very filling and diverse. This hotel was located just outside "old Hoi An" and you can easily just walk out and be in the city. They also had a nice swimming pool which I used when I stayed there.

The Hotel is really conveniently located a couple of hundred of meters from the shops,Restaurants etc of Hoi An.Being winter and a little cool and rainy the Pool was not used although in the warmer months it would be a fantastic spot to relax instead of shopping etc.The Rooms are clean and well laid out although being on the bottom floor we were kept awake some nights from guests above walking on the Tile floor in hard Shoes we found our stay relaxing and comfortable. We were on the ground floor and a minor issue is staff and guests alike feel the need to look in to your Room everytime they walk past which I found myself doing to other Rooms! so at night if you want total privacy close the Blinds.I suppose its just natural being inquisitive!.The food selection was good and we had no complaints from the Breakfast buffet and Hotel Retaurant.Overall this is a great mid range Hotel well priced and located and run by very efficient and friendly staff who are overseen by the manager who is always supervising the proceedings.
We would definetely recommend Anantara to friends and family.

Room Tip: Ask for upstairs Rooms overlooking the River as groundfloor rooms are not that private

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experiences of Anantara Hoi An resort with us and for recommending our property.

This winter just past certainly was a little fresher than normal and you are correct regarding the tranquil area of our pool, a great place to chill and relax after a day out in the magic of Hoi An.
I have also noted your comments regarding the foot traffic and rooms and we will investigate possible options in this area.

Again, thank you very much for your comments and for you recognition of our friendly and efficient team.

I hope to personally welcome you back soon.
