This hotel is one of the most charming hotels I have ever stayed in. It is quite small and has a lovely atmosphere from the moment you arrive in the pretty courtyard garden. We were taken into the lovely restaurant on arrival and given a lovely cool freshly squeezed lemon juice while our bags were taken to our room.

We were then shown to our room which was one of the prettiest I have seen, especially for one that was so reasonably priced! Flower petals were arranged on the bed and around the lovely shower room. The room, although it did not have a view, looked out onto a pretty small courtyard that was designed beautifully, and decorated with lovely silk lanterns with nice a nice table and chairs for our use. Everything was light and airy and fresh. The shower room had pebbles arranged in the bottom with flowers arranged around it and a wooden platform to stand on. It was just a normal room but like a honeymoon room!!

There was lots of spacious storage for our luggage and a tv if you should want it.

The breakfast was spectacular with everything to suit Asian and western tastes. Fabulous!

The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive.

I would absolutely stay here if I go back to Hoi An (which is also a lovely place) and would recommend it to all! A wonderful place!

We enjoyed our stay; friendly staff, small room but clean and nicely decorated with fresh flowers, fruit, snacks and tea making materials. Front courtyard is so cheerful, especially at night with all the lights. Free bikes and breakfast has the most amazing arrangements of fruit.

Gorgeous hotel, definitely worth spending the extra money, we paid 65 a night, room was so comfy, bedding great quality, breakfast the best we had and top quality service, would definitely stay here again. Free bicycles made the daily trips into the tailors quick and easy.

A very pleasant hotel with friendly staff. We stayed on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. Since it was occasionally raining the courtyard was not being used much. Overall it was very quiet.

Hotel is located in the center of town within easy walking distance of major shops and historic sites.

The room was well appointed, nothing fancy, but well laid out for two adults. The breakfast buffet was very well done; it had a variety of local and western cuisines.

Next to the hotel is a small spa where you can get facials, massages or a simple haircut for $4 USD. I had a massage and haircut for about $25 USD with tip. It was worth it.

I enjoyed my stay there.

We selected the Ha An because of so may good recomendations, and booked it for four nights. Their web site said all rooms have balconies, even though some are on the first floor. Having been unable to resolve this matter, we asked for the best room they had available. We were assigned to Room 107, on the first floor. Of course there was no balcony, and the hotel staff attitude was "take it or leave it". The first floor rooms have glass doors that face a center garden that is used for outdoor restaurant at night. The only way to minimize the noise and get any privacy is to close the doors and pull the blinds - which then feels claustraphobic. The worst part was everything we had became wetter and wetter. We thought it may be becaause of the high humidity, and the hotel staff (lied and) said no one had ever complained before. Another guest told us the true story: the hotel's first floor was under water from a typoon and flood two months ago. The wetness in the room was the result of flood water evaporating from the saturated floors and walls. The second night, the hotel staff changed all our damp bedding (yuck) and they moved us to an upstairs room after two nights in the "swamp room". In addition to an awful experience, we both got colds from all the dampness (and maybe mold and mildew too). It is obvious that the management knew that the downstairs rooms were not fit for guests, but I guess their greed was stronger than their committment to providing a decent service for their guests. How shameful! All our other Vietnam hotels were great - but you will be wise to avoid the Ha An Hotel.
