We stayed here for three nights in November 2013. I highly recommend the resort and would stay here again next time I come to Hoi An. We were in a riverside room, which was perfect, because the front door of the room led directly to the pool, and the back door led to a large deck facing the river. One of my best memories of the resort was sitting out on the deck in the morning, drinking coffee and watching the sun come up. The restaurant is also very good. We have stayed in about 20 higher end hotels as part of an extended Southeast Asia trip, and I have to say that the breakfast at the Vinh Hung was the best. The breakfast buffet is extensive, and varies daily, so,it doesn't get tiresome. We had lunch at the resort a couple of times, which was also excellent. Another feature is a daily happy hour at 4:00, where very good snacks are served.
If you are trying to decide on whether to stay at the beach, or closer to town when visiting Hoi An, I recommend staying at least three days here while you shop, eat in town, have clothes made etc, then perhaps move over to a beach resort for the rest of your stay.

Room Tip: Take a riverside unit and ask for a corner unit.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and loved it. Our room clean and comfortable and was a short distance from the swimming pool. The grounds are lovely to walk through as you make your way to the restaurant or the outside bar. The attractions of Hoi An are just a short walk from the hotel. The staff were so friendly, they made our stay in Hoi An the absolute highlight of our holiday in Vietnam.

We arrived in a rainy hoi an and checked in with the friendly desk - I'd screwed up the reservation after not thinking about the difference an overnight train makes! but they brushed over that and sent us to our suite, the rooms are stunning and we had a lovely view over the river. But here's where the fun started, we went to sleep with the river 25 metres from us, and woke up in a flooded resort! This potential disaster was turned into an amazing adventure by the team who came and rescued us in a boat and took care of everything. The room never got flooded because it's high up and well built, but the resort was under 4ft of water! The team were fantastic in dealing with this and the motorised boat took us all through hoi an for a very unique experiance of rather disasterous weather!

Obviously we couldn't stay another night, which was such a shame as the resort was lovely. But just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the team for being so wonderful, calm, reassuring and professional under an extreme circumstance. you really did go above and beyond! We look forward to returning next time.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is very well situated, within easy walking distance from all the places in town. The area is quite safe to walk around, day and night. The rooms are spread out over a large property with a beautiful garden and swimming pool and are clean and neat. The air-conditioner in the room can be a bit noisy. The free WiFi in the room works well. Breakfast is buffet style at the restaurant which also has outside seating under umbrellas.
It is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a river view.

Hoi An itself is a great place to visit, although my experience ended with being ferried by boat from the hotel to dry land by boat due to the floods. I found the staff at reception ok but not as nearly as friendly or helpful as other hotels I have stayed at during my 3 weeks journey around Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The location, facilities and rooms cannot be faulted and the staff during breakfast and around the food stalls were lovely! I just didn't feel like I received the treatment from the front of house staff as good as it could have been and a few extra little touches could make a big improvement on guests lasting impressions. Would I return probably not, I may try one of their other hotels around the town.

You take your chances when you book a hotel, site unseen, on the net. Even with information an guidance provided on sites such as these, it is invariable that at times you will be disappointed.

We, in the modern age of online travel, are spoiled for choice and overloaded with information. So when the stars align and you find yourself in the right place, it is a fortuitous thing, and one that cannot be undervalued.

We arrived here on the night that Typhoon Hiyan was making its threats to hit Hoi An. The property staff and management were well and truly organised to manage any potential extreme event, and went to great lengths to make us, as new arrivals, feel at ease and as safe as we could be. This alone deserves a 5 star rating.

As the storm passed us by, the skies opened to beautiful weather. And with it came a new face of the Hotel - and the one that most guests would see most of the time. A warm and friendly team, we were made to feel at home and welcome and part of the family all at once.

Aside from the gracious service, the rooms are lovely and spacious - the amenities comfortable and the grounds simply lovely. The evening 'Street Food Market', free for guests, and featuring local cuisine, calligraphy demonstrations and lantern making are worth the room tariff alone.

I could go on...but two final things:

1. A big thanks to the wonderful Tam who made our stay even better with her personal interest in us, and her service. It's people like her who make the difference between a 'nice' stay and a 'wonderful' one. Thanks Tum - I hope your bosses appreciate you as much as we did

2: DO NOT visit the Spa that is next to the property. It is apparently not affiliated with the Hotel, but gives the impression that it is. I stupidly had an eyebrow wax here, and had skin ripped off my eyelid - not to mention the swelling an pain that came with it. When the complaint was presented, the staff denied any wrong doing, and claimed I must have had an allergy, or something must have bitten me. neither was the case. DO NOT risk anything beyond a manicure, they really have no idea what they are doing.

We stayed here after leaving the first place we booked for 3 nights and left after one. This resort is full of friendly staff who you get to know and give you good tips on hoi an. The resort is a short walk from all the lovely riverside restaurunts and market. They have a great cooking class, lovely pools and the rooms have all you need, beds are comfy and a boat which takes you by river into the market! I would come back here again anytime!
