From the moment we arrived late at night to the sad goodbyes when we left, all the staff worked to make our wedding anniversary one we'll never forget. Nothing was too much trouble. A bouquet of flowers and a wonderful complimentary dinner on the day, magnificent breakfasts, free food every happy hour, one of the best guitarists to entertain us, a free boat ride to the town daily, a free sunset cruise in the evenings. We stayed twelve days but wish it had been much longer. Never have we received such care and pampering. The beautiful venue, the tranquil atmosphere and the scenery would be very difficult to match. Every morning the maid who made up the room created a wonderful message of flowers on our bed.
HoiAn itself is a fascinating, old world town, noisy, exciting, and the locals are very friendly and we found them lots of fun once we learned how to bargain with them.

Room Tip: We had room. 102 on the ground floor which was very convenient to the restaurant, the pool, and the...

My family and I (six of us in total) stayed at Vinh Hung and had mixed feelings about it. Location was amazing, and generally all the staff were very friendly (although very noisy in the mornings!). There were a few negatives that put a dampener on things. The walls between rooms are very thin, so be prepared to hear your neighbours, and a rooster that will wake you up each morning! The showers had some really hot exposed pipes, and my brother received second degree burns from one. The staff were very helpful in getting him burn cream, but there really needs to at least be a warning sign in every room. The whole resort wakes up very early, so it's not a place to sleep in past 7am.

All in all our stay was ok, clean and good location, but if I ever go back to Hoi An I won't be returning.

Stayed at hotel for 13 nights although originally booked for 7 nights there was no other hotels that were better in the area and decided not to move on to any other area. The hotels location is so peaceful and tranquil but within 5 minutes walk across the bridge into bustle of Hoi An. The staff were friendly and efficient and country market a real signature part of hotel ,lovely touch.Would recommend to anyone and were really pleased we chose to stay in this hotel over other hotels we viewed before booking.

We bought lots of tailored clothes and jackets for the men and dresses for the ladies. The hotel is a great place to rest and relax for the day. We swam and had cheap massages and hair wash. The restaurant served inexpensive local dishes but we found the food a little salty.
No complaint for a US$90 per night including breakfast.

We recently spent three nights at this marvellous hotel. It was one of the many we stayed at during our visit to Vietnam but will most certainly return! the staff from the Reception to Cleaners were all at tentative to our needs! More especially, our dietary needs, we're specifically met during breakfast! We even had a personal msg using the stems of a plant imprinting " wish you the best of luck" before I left I responded ( using the same stems!) Thank you with a handsome tip!!
The ladies at reception are extremely welcoming and helpful - Ngoc loi was outstanding in her mannerisms! Look forward to the evening display of local food( free) to taste and the visit the massage rooms!

Room Tip: Book the room overlooking the river

This resort's location is next to the river ,away from the bustle of town but yet only five minutes easy walk to town. Opposite is a laudramat and two tailors. Location excellent.
We were greated warmly on arrival with a wet towel and welcome drinks. Checkin was easy and relaxing. We actually arrived at 5pm and thus sampled the free snacks which were cooked at the lawn available at 4-5pm daily . Great way to sample delicious vietnamese snacks.
We had a total of seven rooms . Though one of the room's electronic key did not work , this was quickly rectified by a technician.
The rooms were big and clean with either a king size bed or two twins and still had place for a sitting area, a dressing table and a working desk. Wireless was free and conection was alright. There was a small minibar with two bottles of mineral water free daily, a small fridge and a moderate sized safe. Two umbrellas were provided in each room in case it rained. Slippers and two bathrobes were also provided.
The bathroom was of an average size with a shower. No bathtub for our rooms which did not face the river. Water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. Could not fault it except would have preferred a bathtub.
Dinner at the onsite restaurant was delicious and prices very reasonable comparable to prices in town. The prawn vietnamese rolls were exceptional, crispy and good. Dining next to the river had a magical ambience wi

Put simply, this is luxury for basic prices. The rooms are massive. The pool is delightful. The grounds are huge and impeccably kept. It is literally on the river. Breakfast is wide ranging. The staff are attentive and extremely helpful and kind. And its location - far enough from the very centre for it to be quiet and serene, but only actually a 5 min walk to the central bridge!
I cannot look past this place if I come back to Hoi An (which I would love to - we got invited - and went to! - a Tet party by a big group of locals just round the corner from the hotel and was by miles the best night in Vietnam we had).
