“Beautiful hotel, friendly staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014 via mobile

My girlfriend and I moved from two nights in the centre of Hoi An to MUCA for our final night in Hoi An - we decided to treat ourselves.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they even carried our bags to our room when we arrived.

The complex is amazing. Beautiful gardens, an lovely infinity pool and a nice restaurant / bar area situated on stilts within the bordering river. The room was huge (we got upgraded to a deluxe room for free) with an excellent bathroom. Everything was super clean.

The breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful; Vietnamese and western cuisines alike.

All in all we had an excellent stay.

The hotel is new and despite lacking some experience, the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are a bit unpersonal but the bathrooms very modern and clean. The pool and the buildings look very nice, as the restaurant located in the middle of a pond and beautifully light does. Free shuttle service to hoi an ( 3 times per day), and to the beach (twice a day) are available. Also bicycles can be rent for free! The private beach is nice and clean, but attention, the beach restaurant is the only thing that is terrible!

I stayed at the Muca in July 2014. It is a beautiful new hotel. Chau, Li, Tuong, Phuong, and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. There are very pretty grounds and a small pool. There is a bamboo hut off the breakfast area that is a great place to chill. Cui Dai Beach is a 15 minute walk (for the intrepid) or 3 minute taxi. I do not do bikes or moto in Vietnam as I often meet road injured travelers. Breakfast was very nice with omlettes and fruit available. Room and bath were large and new. Every thing was kept very clean and I wish that I booked for more than 8 nights. Please do not all rush to book for Summer 2015 as I would like to return for the same 50US per night that I paid in 2014.

Stayed here July 2014. Reserved 3 nights, ended up staying 10(!) nights. Wasn't our initial choice because we wanted something on the beach front but Hoi An was fully booked and the available beach resorts were in the ~300$ range. But once we got in, we changed our mind.
The hotel landscape is beautiful, lush, well-designed gardens and grass, gazebos on the riverfront.... The rooms are not big but well-equipped and all is in excellent shape. The location is mid-way from the beach to the old city, this has pluses and minuses, it worked for us because we wanted both and the taxi drive is easy and cheap.
But the highlight of the place, as many other reviewers mentioned, is the staff. Everyone tries very hard to make everything perfect for you... for example, they did not have a high-chair when we got there. They went and bought one! we heard some guests complained that all the bicycles are already taken - they brought in bikes from another hotel. And numerous other examples. From our first night when everyone of the hotel employees greeted us by name, we were happy.

Especially Yen and Ly, the sales manager and the front office manager, were so helpful and caring! we felt like with family!

We were a family of two adults and 4 small children (between 9y and 8m) so not the easiest guests. Never the less the attention and the good intentions made our stay perfect.

On the (small) downside: the hotel pool is a little small and the breakfast is boring after 10 days; but that would probably be the case in any hotel...

This boutique hotel is a real gem! Brand new, amazing overflowing pool, friendly staff, palm trees all around. Located closer to the sea than to the city was perfect for us. They have free bycicles and shuttle bus and offered free drop off at the airport. We left in the evening and they gave us a room to shower bedore we left. We also booked a car to visit the My Son complex, the cost was very reasonable. Highly tecommended!

This place for the price we paid was sensational!!!!!!!!!! Must book to stay here in hoi an. It is 100% worthwhile to stay here and travel to danang. Don't stay in danang if you want beach and quiet place but also the flexibility of city and the best part of the beautiful hoi an town.

I can't say enough about this place! Rooms are brilliant. Bed is utterly huge! Clean. Not enough storage space and mirror and lighting...

Breakfast is awesome!!!!! So much choice and fab service. Choice of sitting in the restaurant or the floating bamboo area.

Free bicycle hire so you can cycle 10 mins to Cue dia beach. We did a 7km cycle to Ha My beach....a beach of total silence..a beach of wonder...a beach of nobody else but us. ...no salesman no sunloungers so take a towel. It is so beautiful!!! Cue dia beach is the closest to Muca, and the hotel has a contract with free sunlounger hire. Make use of this if you can..we weren't told unfortunately.

The hotel doesn't really have anything else to offer in terms of happy hour or dinner but its just as easy to take a cab extremely cheap to hoi an and get food unlimited choice of restaurant and street food. Try the Before and Now restaurant it is the best food I've had in Vietnam. Street food go for the pork skewer and sausage carts. Yum!!! And buy a lantern :biggest ones cost around 100, 000 dong.

The hotel really exceeded expectations and I enjoyed it very very much. Note the road coming in is a little bumpy esp if you cycle. Easy to get to and nothing to fault.

Staff make it up to 8 stars. Wonderful people in a wonderful hotel. There is much more to do in hoi an and see wonderful lanterns than go to danang.

My favorite place by far in whole of Vietnam.

Thank you Muca for a wonderful stay xxxxx

Stayed at Muca for six nights when visiting Hoi An. The location approx 4 km from Hoi An and 1 km from Cua Dai beach is perfect. Very calm and quiet area "in the mid of no where" but close to the must sees. The staff is excellent and very service minded and helpful, no problem is too big. The rooms are nice and spatious, the housekeeping very good. Bicycles for free to borrow and shuttle bus both to Hoi An and the private beach. The garden is great with lots of tropical plants. I will definitively stay at Muca again! A special thanks to Ms Ly who helped us a lot booking tours and transports.
