The Hai Au is a nice hotel, the staff were great and learnt our names within 5 minutes. Its a 10 minute walk into the old town, and the closest beach is 5 minutes on a scooter. These can be hired from outside the hotel for a lot cheaper then Hai Au charge. Our room was huge and was always clean. The day we missed being cleaned, they made sure to leave fresh water and clean towels out for us. There are 4 floors and no lift however, but we got used to it. The only down side was the bed that was very hard, and after a few nights I didnt sleep too well. The location is next door to some public event area which was used for weddings and a singing competition that was going on at the time, so it was quite noisy. It didnt bother us too much as the town closes quite early, and the bad singing didnt go on too long! Overall, it was a great holiday, and we would certainly go back.

We had a large room with a very large bed. Artfully arranged towels on the bed added a novel touch. Buffet breakfast very good. The people at reception were extremely friendly and helpful about what to see and do. When we could not extend our stay there because the hotel was full, the receptionist personally escorted us to an alternative hotel. Can highly recommend the Hai Au Hotel in Hoi An.

We stayed here for our 2 nightsin Hoi An due to great reviews on Trip Advisor, and weren't disappointed. The service was great from all staff- nothing was too much trouble, and yes they do remember your names ! everyone was really friendly without being over the top. The breakfast was great - omelettes and good selection of baguettes and fresh fruit. They also had a varied menu of Vietnamese and Western fod for lunch and dinner - the margarita pizza was delicious. The room we had was huge, with a massive bed- the bathroom was basic but did the job. Easy short walk into the Old Town - we enjoyed the location of the hotel being out of the hustle and bustle. Fantastic value for money. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This Hotel is perfectly located. It is not even a ten minute walk to the old town and is far enough away that it is relatively quiet. Upon arrival the whole front desk staff made a point of memorizing our names. So throughout our week at this hotel they greeted us by name and were excited to talk to us about our day. Our room was big and spacious with a lovely bath tub and shower. When we arrived our shower was not working very well but as soon as we told the front desk ladies they had someone up to our room within minutes who fixed it. And not "Asian" fixed it (sorry for the stereo type but have lived in Asia for awhile) but actually replaced the old hose and fixed the problem. Our room was cleaned daily with our towels being changed every second day. We even had our own computer with Internet access free of charge in our room. I was able to skype with my family. The breakfast was delicious and offered something different everyday as it was a buffet. They were very helpful with giving directions and making tour suggestions. They arranged for us to take a cooking class as well as our tickets to Hue. All in all this hotel made our stay in Hoi An even better. Thank you very much for being so friendly and accommodating.
