Quoc Cuong II Hotel Danang
Ranked #205 of 405 Da Nang B&B and Inns
Reviewed 22 December 2013 via mobile

We are a young couple that are happy to stay anywhere but we were very very disappointed with our stay here. For starters there is nothing in da nang so I would not come here again. There is no restaurants or bars close to the hotel. We walked for half an hour and there is no ATMs. Da nang is abit of a ghost town with no tourists.
When we arrived at the hotel the reception was empty. Had to wait 15min till someone came so we could check in.
We asked for room service for dinner as there is no where close to eat and they said it was shut due to a party which we were not notified about.
The cleaners came in to clean our room at 8:30am - which I think is to early and there is no 'do bit disturb' sign.
The breakfast was very limited only had rice and noodles which was cold and there was only a tiny corner of it left and there was still 30min left of breakfast
We have decided to leave early as it really wasn't for us and was abit of a let down
The only good thing seems to be the wifi and the room is average but fine for the rating of the room and the price.
Quite a shame as the hotel has so much potential but they don't seem too care

Dear fellow travellers,

this hotel, located in the not so very happening Danang, is as you would expect a European 3 star hotel to be. Nice clean and good quality rooms but at Vietnam prices, EUR 16 a night is what we paid. The city itself is not that exciting so if you are bored you can go to the Cineplex which is a 10 minutes walk in this street away (4th floor of the Vinh Trung Plaza shopping center). We where here one night to transfer to HCMC but would not advise to go here if not necessary. The only nice thing here was the Dragon Bridge (just google it). If you do go, we would recommend this hotel, it's very nice.

Good hotel, well located for Da Nang city but not for the beach.
Front of house very friendly and efficient, everything went smoothly from check in to check out.
Breakfast a very good Vietnamese selection, not much in the way of western food, but hey its Vietnam.
Rooms clean and tidy with a nice vie of the Dragon Bridge.
Bathroom a good size, great shower and a bath, no plug though.
Bed was horrendously hard, never known a bed so hard.
All in all not a bad stay, just wish the had a more comfortable bed.

First impressions were good - a quick and inexpensive metered taxi ride from the airport, help with luggage on arrival and a quick and friendly check-in (and check-out when I left). The room was spacious, clean and attractive and the bathroom was of a good size with a tub as well as a shower and an adequate supply of toiletries.
The breakfast buffet was abysmal because none of the food (mainly asian) was warm - in fact it looked as if for some of the time they hadn't even lit the heating burners - the coffee was always stone cold! On the one morning I asked for a freshly cooked fried egg I ended up with a congealed mess.
The hotel seems to be a favourite with large asian tour groups of 40 to 50 people who start shouting at each other in the corridors at 6am, completely oblivious to the fact that there may be other people sleeping. The atmosphere in the breakfast room was so noisy when these groups were there that I could not stay in the same room
On the second night, when I wanted to phone to ask for laundry collection, I discovered that there was no phone in my room - this was rectified quite quickly and a missing cover to one of the bedside lights was also replaced. Surely, the rooms should be checked that all is in order before a new customer is checked in.
There was one lady receptionst who spoke good English and was very helpful and the other young ladies tried hard with less good English. One young man on duty one evening said he could not speak English. The staff generally were smiling and polite apart from the young man who collected the laundry who was surly - he may not know English but he could try to smile!!
The location is a bit far from the riverfront but a 15 minute walk is not tôo much trouble.
I am sure that it is posible to fine a better hotel in Danang.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night back in mid December 2012. The room which we were given was very small and felt a bit claustrophobic. It was also our first encounter with Asian bathrooms where there is no separation between the shower and the toilet. There was also construction taking place next to our hotel. But since we were only staying there for 1 night, we didn’t mind any of these inconveniences.
The hotel lobby is not the prettiest but the building is at a walking distance to the riverfront where there are many restaurants and bars. The complimentary breakfast buffet had a decent selection and the Wifi in our room was very good.
Some of the staff did not speak English well. Special thanks to Luong who arranged our transportation to Hoi An. On a side note, we strongly recommend a visit to Marble Mountains on your way to Hoi An.

A brand new hotel in city centre of Da Nang. The staff are helpful and room is very clean. The location is great and it is suitable for short stay. Breakfast is very basic and need some improvement. Anyway, it is value for money!

We stayed here for 2 nights and were really impressed what we received for our money - a grand, spacious room with cable TV, bath and came with breakfast. Breakfast wasn't the greatest but did the job. The hotel is clean and in a decent location. Would recommend to anyone wanting a bit of luxury on a budget!
