I have travelled all over Asia and have taken many cooking classes in each place. This cooking class was incredible. We started out the morning by going to a local market. Then on to a local coffee shop to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and get to discuss about local living. After that, we took a trip to the local garden and helped water and plant vegetables. Met the sweetest and happiest gardener Sandy who was so excited to have us there! This was a highlight as I have seen them working in the garden everyday prior to having this experience. Next, we went to a local house and it was time for cooking. We got to explore the entire house to see how this family lived, hang out on their top floor (outside) and lay in their hammock and talk for a bit to get to know each. We made a ton of food: Bahn Xeo, Spring Rolls, and Papaya Salad. Then ate family style around the table in their kitchen. Everyone was so friendly and a lot of fun. I recommend this to everyone who wants to explore a part of Da Nang culture.
