Im currently staying at this resort, its would be a pleasant stay from the beginning until this afternoon, i ordered a lunch with the room service and has been told that will be around $2 (43,000vnd) more to be charged. as i read in the Room Service menu, it said 5% service charge and 10% VAT have been inclusive into the price listed already. So where the 2$ come from with the 4star service ?

never been to any resort with this weird rule. I dont care if it $1 or $2, just a small bucks but this is SO WEIRD !!!!!

Thank you for your feedback on our Blue Ocean Resort. We appreciate that you have enjoyed your room and the cleanliness of the resort.

We apologise that we have not met your expectations regarding our room service procedure. As you mentioned our prices are inclusive of VAT (Government prescribed tax) and Service Charge (tips paid to the staff in addition to their salary), however as mentioned on the menu we do charge an additional small fee for delivery to the room. We are most sorry that you found this to be unusual, however in our experience most hotels will either charge a small fee similar to this, or increase the cost of the items on the room service menu to cover the increased costs of delivery. As you mentioned, this is also made clear to guests when they place their room service order with our staff, and guests have the option to dine in our restaurant with no additional charge if they feel uncomfortable to pay this delivery fee. I am glad our Restaurant Manager was able to meet with you to discuss this matter prior to your departure, we do take all our guests feedback very seriously and appreciate the opportunity to discuss any issues directly with our guests.

We are sorry that this detail has marred an otherwise a very enjoyable stay. We hope it does not deter you from returning to Blue Ocean Resort in the future and hope to welcome you back soon.

We stayed 5 days, staff where lovely, helpful & friendly. Rooms where lovely, roomy & very clean we had a Sea View Bungalow. Would highly recommend this resort for couples, young, not so young & families.

My wife and I stayed here following a 3 night stay in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) so it was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of modern Vietnam. The hotel is in a great location, close to a number of great eateries and sits right on the beach, which with the 44 degrees and 80% humidity is a blessing as there's a nice breeze, in the afternoon at least. The rooms are large and spacious (we were upgraded from standard to superior) but they are showing a few signs of age, plastic toilet seat stained (nothing nasty), broken louvre blinds etc, but nothing that would spoil your stay. Aircon is a blessing obviously. One tip if you stay here though is to ask for a room away from the road as it's quite noisy early morning, what with all the tooting and honking that the Vietnamese like to do. The grounds are superb and they spend a lot of time keeping it that way, so top marks there. If I had any gripes (hence the 4 star rating) is that service on the beach is non-existent and it wouldn't hurt if some of the many staff standing around (and happy to help I might add) would venture onto the beach and offer to get you drinks and snacks. This isn't really a criticism, we've just had this elsewhere and it's a nice touch, they'de make more money too!. The final comment is the awful WiFi. We were right next to the reception (assuming that's where it comes from) but it still dropped out every 20 seconds, really annoying when you're looking for restaurants and planning the next days trips. In fairness, this could have been the service provider rather than the hotel, but reception could have mentioned it. In summary: this was a great hotel and we wouldn't hestitate recommending it to others. PS: the staff are amazingly helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road and cl;oser to the beach

We are, of course, delighted that you have enjoyed your stay with us. It is great to learn, that you liked the size of your room. We will have our maintenance team change the toilet seat and fix the bamboo blinds immediately. I have therefore sent you a private message with the kind request to provide us your room number.

It is true that our room categories are defined mostly by location and if one is a light sleeper, it is recommendable to book at least within the Garden View Bungalow category.
We will look into how we may improve our service at the beach as well as the WiFi complications. I do apologize, that we were unable to meet your expectations on this occasion. If the WiFi complication is not related to our provider but internal, our IT manager as well as the maintenance team are usually able to fix this on the spot.

The greatest reward is, undoubtful, that you found our staff very helpful. Thank you for your kind mention as we will use your comment to further motivate our team and remind everyone of their capabilities!

We have recently returned home from an amazing 2 weeks at the Blue Ocean hotel. The trip was quite exhausting as it was a 12 hr flight and a 5 hr. taxi transfer. We upgraded to the superior room and were very impressed with the space and view.The room was cleaned to a high standard and the staff were all very friendly(especially front desk)The gardens were kept immaculate, the pool area was so peaceful and sunbeds were always available, at times we were the only people by the pool(heaven).
The beach was kept tidy by the hotel but after a few minutes walk along the beach there was a small build up of debris. The sea water like the pool was very warm. The few fruit vendors were no problem during our daily walk along the beach.
There are not many trips to do so it may be a bit quiet if you are not looking for total relaxation as we were. We thoroughly enjoyed the couple of trips we did do.The town itself had numerous places to dine and the food was fantastic value with amazing choices. We also ate at the hotel which was also great value and well presented
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would totally recommend this hotel as I cannot think of a bad thing to say about it. If you don't mind a long trip then this is the place for you, well done Blue Ocean .

Room Tip: Try and avoid standard roadside rooms ,definitely go for superior.

We asked the reception if they had any rooms available. It was unclear if they were fully booked or just unable to take a reservation. We were advices to look online. We did look online and booked the room there.

We also had a kite harness lying on the veranda that got stolen.

Hotel is a large ok resort.

During peak season we do indeed sometimes not have rooms available anymore directly and there might still be offers available online, as several websites own allotments of hotel rooms.
