This in the second time we have stayed in Cham Villas the first in January 2011. Little has changed since then but why change a winning formula.
We had a beach front villa this time and it is well worth the extra cost.
The room was spacious, spotlessly clean with a very adequate bathroom. There is also a room safe, mini-bar, wifi, mosquito nets and a veranda overlooking the beach.
The hotel gardens are beautifully kept and the good sized swimming pool is clean and well maintained.
Breakfast choice is good but not outstanding, the restaurant is small but adequate.
We enjoyed our 5 night stay most of the daytime was spent on the hotel's beautifully kept beach area where there was a good amount of shade if you wanted it.
The sea is good for bathing but beware the jet ski operators who have no respect for swimmers.
If you venture out, there are numerous shops and restaurants who seem to mainly cater for the huge number of Russian tourists.
We have lived at the Cham Villas 5 days now, have 2 more left before we leave, and we just loved this little hotel. We have two gardenview bungalows (family of five), it's 20 meters to the pool area, 20 meters to the restaurant and 20 meters in the other direction to the beach. The garden is beautiful, the staff is polite and helpful, the food in the restaurant is really delicious, the breakfast buffet is delicate with lots of choices, and best of all - there are no queues, neither at breakfast, by the pool or at the beach. You can get sunbeds any time you want.
I also got a lot of help from the manager as I wanted to visit the orphanage in Phu Hai (15 min drive from here). He helped to get appropriate food, gifts and clothes for the children, and also joined me for the visit, to translate, since nobody at the orphanage speaks english. I met four wonderful one year old babies, who amused themselves with the toys we brought. In addition there lives three older children at the site, among them a strongly handicapped four year old.
It is our first trip to Vietnam, but I'm sure we will be back, and then we would certainly visit Cham Villas again.
My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a tour of Cambodia and Vietnam and loved it. It is beautifully landscaped and well maintained, with just 16 standalone large thatched villas. The pool is gorgeous and tranquil and the beach right on the back of the property, with various watersports and a bar serving a wide range of cocktails and other food and drinks. The restaurant which we used several times is also very good indeed and there is a small spa on site but we didn't use this.
This is our last day here after ten very blissful days. My husband and I have travelled to beach destinations all over Southeast Asia and India in the past ten years, and have decided that Cham Villas is the best in which we have ever stayed. The beach front is magnificent, the staff are unfailingly attentive and professional, and the villas very comfortable and well equipped. The lush tropical grounds and gardens, with their myriad Cham sculptures, truly provide a peaceful haven of peace and tranquility away from the kooky-cool chaos of Mui Ne's long strip of seafood restaurants, kitschy souvenir stalls and beach shops. The food at Cham Villas is first-rate (Sicillian tomato soup, anyone?) Tomorrow we go on to Phu Quoc, but will be sad to leave here. Our only consolation is in knowing that we'll be back ...
We stayed here almost one year ago - the beach front location is stunning. Clean and so much to watch with all the people kite surfing.
Our family of four stayed in a beach front villa - amazing spot, the kids loved it. Was cosy for 4 but we did not spend much time in the villa as spent all day at beach or pool.
Food on the whole great - however I have to say the Christmas dinner was a disaster. Late and my husband had to go back to check our children and the baby sitter left so he did not get any Christmas pudding.
Our camera also went missing on this trip, either from the room or pool. Was very disappointed!
On the whole though a lovely stay would go back.
