We arrived here very early due to the timings of the train fromSaigon so of course knew that our room would not be ready. We were greeted well and told we could go and relax at the pool which we did. Someone came to find us about 1 o'clock and gave us our key. The room was dark and although there was a towel arrangement on the bed it wasn't very inviting. The shower room was not good, badly in need of refurbishment. The position was lovely and the ground too were really nice, only a minute walk to the beach. We were only staying two nights and we enjoyed the rest after a hectic time in Saigon. The staff at reception were helpful. We had tickets for the train north and realised it wasn't the same station we had arrived from and it was a 40 minute taxi ride away so looked into the bus. The girl at reception phoned several times for us and managed to secure seats for us. Breakfast was ok, not so good at other hotels we had been to but it was fine.

Room Tip: Our room was on the ground floor looking out to the beach. Shower room not good and room very dark

I was impressed!

Natural and green surroundings.

If you are looking for local charm, good beach and great value, this small resort is a must!

The resort is all villas located at a prime spot on the beach with fine white sand and good water. Perfect choice for families and those looking for a subdued experience and seclusion.

The staff are generally gentile and trying to learn better English all the time.

I would go back if I could!

Room Tip: All the villas are near the beach and have good mosquito nets. Ask for two double beds if you are a family!

I am very surprised by the good reviews this hotel has received, this is my 2nd time to Vietnam and this is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in and the most expensive.

When me and my husband arrived the reception staff did not greet us, they simply handed us a drink and asked for our passports to check us in. I would say it was a quick check in but not a welcoming one. However the porter who carried our bags to our room was very friendly.

When we got to our room situated on the ground floor of a 2 story villa opposite the pool, I thought the room was dark and everything looked uncomfortable.

The bathroom has a window that does not lock, the toilet did not flush properly and there was no hot water despite having its own boiler/tank. The shower is filthy, not fixed to the wall properly and in desperate need of a revamp.

The beds and pillows are hard, and there is little chance of a good nights sleep because you can hear everything in the other rooms. The air conditioning also creeks when it is on. The television is not tuned in fully so you have a fuzzy picture. Housekeeping also come far to early, 8.20am is not a suitable time to be knocking on people's doors asking to clean the rooms.

The hotel advertises the fact that it has a private beach however I do not count this as a private beach. It just has sun-loungers that are only for hotel guests. The beach itself is far from private as there is a kite surfing school right next to the hotel and the beach is very crowded with these.

The hotel pool is very nice however there are not enough sun loungers for the number of guests I suggest more need to be put out. The other problem is that only half of the loungers see the sun so by 9am people have already put towels on the loungers they want and then don't sit on them for another hour. This saving sun loungers with a towel should not be allowed and it should be a first come first served when your actually ready to use them. I know this used to be a big problem in a lot of European resorts and now if people do this the hotel security remove towels, I think this is a policy that should be taken up by the hotel especially seeing as the majority of guests are Russians on package holidays.

The hotel restaurant is ok, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average and do a good omelette.

Outside the hotel are a lot of restaurants, shops etc aimed at Russian tourists. I have heard this part of town be called little Moscow. If you take a taxi about 4km towards the centre of Ham Tien you will find it less brash and a lot more chilled out, nicer restaurants too.

The first night we ate in a restaurant across from the hotel and our food was that bad I couldn't even eat it. So do be careful when choosing where to eat near here.

Normally in Vietnam I never spend over $25 per night on a room and have always been very pleased with the standard. This hotel was $75 per night and i am astonished they can charge that. However Mui Ne seems to be more expensive for hotels than most other places in Vietnam and I cannot see what the attraction is.

Dear RamsdenFoot,

Thank you very much for taking time to share with us about your recent stay. We are so sorry and embarrassed! But most of all, We would like to offer our earnest apologies for the less-than-satisfactory services, you have experienced during your stay at our Resort.

We have carried out some investigations in the past two days in order to get enough information. Unfortunate that few information was collected. We wish if those complaints could come to us earlier when you were still onsite here then we both shall be much easier to sort out all problems and make your stay more enjoyable.

We think your problems mostly come from the price of the hotel, which you thought it was expensive. As you said that you have never spent over US$ 25 for hotel in Viet Nam and this makes me surprised as I wonder where you can get hotel room at that price. Especially, in Ham Tien area.

Referring to some of your comments, We would like to start with welcome manner of our reception, on the day you check-in, our staff did give you a warm welcome and also offered welcome drinks as well as a very quick check in and it seems there was no sign of dissatisfaction from you So I do not really understand why you raised the concern. Anyway, We will note this to prevent future problems.

Referring to the room, Pillows and beds as well as Air conditioner, TV, It was a common sense that if you found such problems, it should be forwarded to us immediately for a better improvement, however, again we did not get any information while you still stayed at the Resort and based on our housekeeping logbook, the room was in good condition. We can only apologize for the inconvenience that the staff knocked the door at 8:20, which is against our rule of 9:30 for in-house guest cleaning. We will re-enforce this again and sorry for the incident.

“The bathroom window” that you mentioned is a ventilation system so it has no lock.

For the matter of Kite surfer and sun chair, thanks for your idea. We will seriously look at this and We already had a meeting with the GM of the kite school yesterday as well as to worked with our pool boy regarding the sun chair reserved. We agree with you the basis of first come first serve.

RamdensFoot, We are committed to provide best possible services to all of our Guest, of course including you and we comprehend with a high priority we always do. But this time We know that we failed to deliver this promise with you. We hope to welcome you again to our resort to fulfill this promise in the future. Thank you so much and happy new year 2014.

Best regards,

Staffs and The Management

Our room clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Good Wi-Fi. We had a perfect stay here after visiting busy Ho Chi Minh City.
