We have stayed in February for 5 nights.
A little bit overpriced for Vietnam. But we really liked it.
Very nice and clean beach. And it feels very private. Not overcrowded.
No need to fight for beach beds.
No noisy tourists.
Nice gardens.
Small and cozy territory.
Simple rooms, but absolutely stunning view from the beach front bungalows (highly recommend).
Far from the shopping, dinning and entertainment area, but once we walked all the way, and it was quite a pleasant walk along the ocean, and taxi is not very expensive and always available.
Absolutely perfect breakfasts.
You can get really good food for your lunch or dinner, but it is possible to get better and definitely cheaper elsewhere in Mui Ne and they have problems with fresh fish and lobsters - it was necessary to order them 24 hours in advance.

For luxurious and romantic dinner I would recommend Mia Resort restaurant. Perfect service, perfect food, perfect atmosphere.
We also liked very much Sunset Restaurant in Mui Ne. Nothing posh, but lovely surroundings, good food, reasonable prices.

If you like nature, visit Fairy Stream. Astonishing. Just take a taxi and have a pleasant walk in a warm and shallow water of a stream and take hundreds of pictures of steep and colorful banks. Don't go with a group.

Try local (Dalat) vine. We were surprised. The cheapest one was also good. Really good.

Room Tip: Beach front bungalow - nice view, relaxing sounds of the ocean at night.

Our stay at white sands resort was not a good one, we went in the rainy Season, so we didn't excpet much, we arrived to find out that we were the ONLY people in the whole resort. The location isn't very good, and the staff at times very rude, unfriendly and extremely un helpfull.
The rooms were OK, but you would expect more for the price you pay, the restraunt was resumble.
Overall I would not reccomend this hotel.

Arriving at night on Phuong Trang bus ( a reasonable and comfortable option) from HCMC, it can be a bit disorienting. The bus drops you off at the main road and you either call the resort to pick you up or be prepared to walk in the dark about a quarter mile. Its a minor inconvenience, because once you are there it is an absolutely beautiful property with an incredible beach. All of the amenities are there, and they all work. The food is very well prepared and the staff is endearing. I really enjoyed the place. The Sales Manager spoke great English and attended to every request I had. I needed some antibiotics, and they got me to the right place to buy them. It can be difficult in the low season to keep a resort on its game, but this place is relaxing to the max.

We stayed here in February 2008 (sorry, I couldn't make the date any older in the dropdown) and it was gorgeous. The rooms were lovely, as was the walk on the beach. It's away from the centre of Mui Ne but we found it to be incredibly gorgeous and just so nice and quiet. At the time, there weren't many people around and it truly felt like we were getting away from it all.

I'd also have to agree that the breakfast buffet isn't all that great, but in that heat, I'm not one for big breakfasts.

Other reviewers are correct that it's difficult to get around so if you're looking for lots of dinners out and entertainment, White Sands isn't for you. If you're looking for romantic, relaxing and quiet at a good price, then White Sands is the place.

We walked into white sands resort and were greeted by friendly staff. When we got to our room and opened the door the view was breath taking. The staff through out the resort done everything possible to make us feel both welcome and at home.
To the manager Hong thank you and your staff for adding something special to our fantastic holiday.
We will be back.!!!
Thank you Alex V

The White Sands Resort is a nice hotel at the beach close to Mui Ne. Close to means that it is not in Mui Ne and you have to call a taxi (that will cost between 50 000-60 000 VD) to get you into "town" where all the restaurants, shops are or to ride a motorbike. But close to also means that it is really quiet at the White Sands resort. The beach is perfect, clean and there are enough lean chairs so that noone has to be in the sand. The waves can get a bit rough for swimming but being at the beach, relaxing there is just wonderful. There is no noise, no people who want to sell something....just you and the sound of the waves.
We stayed in 2 different kind of rooms as we stayed a night longer than we had booked. First we stayed in a family bungalow = 2 bedrooms and a livingroom, every bedroom has its own clean, spacious bathroom, one veranda with chairs.
Then we stayed for one night in a beach view bungalow: one bedroom and bathroom and the veranda with the nice view of the ocean.
Both kind of rooms were clean, well kept and had a fridge, safety box and TV, AC.
One thing should be mentioned. The roofs of the different little houses where the rooms are in are made of palm tree leaves (but very clean, chic) and there are little gaps where geckos can find their way into your room. We liked it but maybe someone else doesnt.
Breakfast is served daily in a buffet with Vietnamese and Western dishes. As I am a Vegetarian it was a bit hard to find something different every day besides the nice fresh fruits.
The hotel also has a clean pool and pool bar. You can play billiard or dart and they also have a spa (which we didnt visit so I cant say anything about it).
One thing the hotel could do better is service and language skills. The manager himself speaks English well but the rest of the service staff has minor or major problems which can be a bit difficult....Another thing is that they dont seem to be well organized but at least the manager is trying to do everything to satisfy the guests.
We would recommend this hotel if you dont want to stay in Mui Ne with all its masses of tourists....and if you want to go there it is just a few minutes away :-)

This is a hotel that iwas under a management and staff transition during our stay. They are trying very hard to improve, but have some way to go in the customer service area. The restaurant was particularly poor for the one dinner we had there. The rest of the trip we went to Mui Nui strip to eat in the evening. Breakfast improved in the time we were there and was Ok.
The rest of the hotel was fine with great beach location, clean rooms, pleasant grounds.
