My fiancée and I stayed at the guest house in December. It is located in a quiet neigbourhood. It is a 30 minute walk to town, alternatively, taxis are readily available. The guest house is beautiful, clean and value for money. Plenty of mongo trees, we ate quite a few mangos. The owners (husband and wife) are very warm and welcoming. They also book numerious tours for their clients. Similarly, the stuff are very polite and professional. We felt very comfortable. It felt like home.

If you are staying in livingstone and especially an extended stay, i would recommend that you book with them.

We stayed here 5 nights and really appreciated that Laurent helped book many activities for us prior to arriving. That was such a nice service to have and ensured we got the most out of our stay. Laurent wasn't there during our stay, but I have never met kinder employees who were always smiling, helpful and available for any kinds of random questions we could come up with. They keep the rooms spotlessly clean, which is also appreciated. Our room was beautiful, and we didn't have any trouble with wifi. We did have a problem with our shower, where one of the handles fell off while my fiance was showering and we couldn't turn off the water... They offered to move us to another room but we're lazy so we stayed put and I just used the shower in the other room, but by then all the hot water had been used from our broken shower... so I took a quick cold shower. :) Given where we were, that wasn't really a problem, and by the time we got back to our room the following day, the shower was completely fixed.

The location is about a 10-15 min walk to the restaurants and shopping area, and in the summer sun or downpour it can be pretty rough, but the taxis are trustworthy. Everybody in the Livingstone area that we encountered was fantastic, with the best of the best working at Tabonina. We absolutely loved this area of Zambia and would love to visit again some day, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tabonina to anybody visiting Livingstone.

Located in a spacious block and shaded by mango, guava and cashew trees, there is definitely a real sense of pride that the staff keep in the property. The staff are exceptionally helpful and accommodating, no matter what the query. The best way to describe the rooms and service is that they definitely have a 'woman's touch', a very nice feeling after weeks of camping! Would definitely stay here again and recommend this guesthouse without hesitation.

Room Tip: Rooms towards the back are well equipped, but you might not get Wifi access within your room. Also...

Tabonina Guesthouse is simply the place to stay in Livingstone. Definitely the nicest and most service-minded staff on our long journey through Africa. Incredible. The place is very nice in itself located approximately 15 minutes from the city centre by foot which was perfectly fine and we got to see Livingstone. Our room was clean and big and it even included a fridge. At the bar area you can play pool for free. The swimming pool is nice and clean. What makes Tabonina such a great place is truly the magnificent staff and the owner Laurent, who is a perfect host - always ready to help you. Thank you for a great stay! :-)

Tabonina Guesthouse was such a nice find for us in Livingstone. The rooms are nice, it's in a quiet compound, with pretty grounds, a small pool and outside eating area. The owners were welcoming, even taking us to the bus station one day, and the friendly, outgoing staff helped us book our activities. They had put together a notebook on activities in town with all the information one needed.
We'd recommend this comfortable, friendly, reasonably priced B&B to everyone.

well what can i say. we were a group of 18 people that stayed for 7 nights in the tabonina guesthouse. for our group the guesthouse was just perfect. the rooms are really nice, staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. laurent and bronnah really help you out with everything they can. they picked up luggage from the airport when we couldnt, organized trips and even did a shuttle to the airport for us - just to name a few things. lance was there for us 24/7, always having a smile on his face. even when we kept him up late sitting at the bar and party a bit too much ... :)
i really recommend this guesthouse to anyone. thanks for making our trip even more perfect, i will see you guys next year! :) lukas

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Tabonina in September this year. We absolutely LOVED our stay. It has everything you need without the price tag. Breakfast is simple but as another reviewer noted… is laid out for you like you’re royalty. The staff are really friendly and extremely accommodating – they were always around and more than happy to help. It may not be 5 star but the service definitely is - I don’t know many budget accommodations where you get asked each night what time you would like breakfast . It’s got a nice feel to it too, you feel like you’re staying with a friend at Tabonia. Laurent picked us up from the airport, advised us on activities and booked them all for us too. It was nice to spend some hours by the pool as Livingstone is really hot in September. I would recommend one of the bigger rooms (which is still really well priced) just so you have more room. This place is outstanding value for money – just book it!

Thank you Laurent and Bronah for a wonderful stay! : )
