It is a large vibrant concrete complex but the location is fantastic. It is only a 5 minute walk to the falls and by staying there you can go as many times as you like so you see sun rises and sun sets , rainbows etc . Also there is jolly zebras wandering outside your door and by the pool which is pretty cool, giffraffes too . You can walk to the Roysl Livingston hotel which is on the Zambezi river and a 20 minute or so walk to the falls ... It is more elegant and bit like ' days of the Raj' set up .mtge Zambezi Sun certainly had a lot more children . Nice breakfast and super helpful people to book helicopter flights and other activities and confirm ongoing flights

It was my first tine in Zambia and I must say my stay in Zambezi sun was my best holiday just yet. I arrived at the hotel at 2am and the staff were at hand to assist and in no time I was in my room with a hot cup of coffee to warm me up. The meals were great, the proximity to Victoria falls even better being a 5 minute walk from my room. The wild life on the hotel grounds was just amazing. I had a chance to visit the deck at Royal Livingston which is just next door and the view from the Zambezi river is just something else read lovely. Would definitely recommend and yes I will be back :-)

We stayed here because you can walk to Vic Falls. During our 2 day stay we walked over there 3 times. If we had've stayed anywhere else, this would not have been possible, except for the more expensive sister property. The breakfasts were good and lots of variety. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were mediocre. Our only problem was the expense but it was worth it to be that close to Vic Falls. Would we stay there again if we went back? Yes, I'm pretty sure we would.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view room. We faced the pool and it would have been a lot nicer to face the outside...

A skip and a hop away from the magnificent Vic Falls. Our arrival was treated quickly and efficiently and we were whisked off to our room in a little golf trolley. The room is a bit "tired" and needs modernising, but it was adequate. Our verandah faced out away from the pool area giving us a lovely view over the gardens. Our package included our flights, transport to and from Livingstone airport as well as dinner bed and breakfast.. Food was served buffet style and lacked imagination but the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful , so the blandness of the food was overlooked.
Naturally, the highlight was the Falls and the magnificence was overwhelming.

Room Tip: Rooms facing away from the pool allow for more privacy. Keep your doors and windows closed at ALL ti...

Stayed two nights here to see Victoria Falls in July (winter). Outstanding location being 5 mins walk to this sensational natural attraction. Rooms were a little old but some were being modernised. Zebras and other wildlife (crocodile) visit the grounds. Service was excellent, food was fine - buffet style. WiFi was poor. There are shops adjacent including a bank which was handy. Suggest that for booking excursions (helicopter rides etc) that lower prices can be obtained from outside the hotel. Great pool for summer and local entertainment provided some nights. Would definitely use this venue if I was visitng Victoria Falls again.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be similar and the hotel is a resort style with spacious setout

The hotel is lovely, tho' a notch below it's next door, sister hotel. But this scores because it's right next to Victoria Falls. One can come across a wandering zebra or two.
The property has a nice play area for kids.
The staff was very warm and helpful specially towards our child who was unwell for about half the time we were there (one day).
The a la carte menu is decent, however the buffet at night could have been better.
Tips - must visit the deck bar in the sister hotel, whose name I forget at the moment, and their verandah for afternoon tea or G&T. The deck is almost ON the Zambezi with the Falls about a km away. There's a club car shuttle between the two hotels. This is a long way from the airport but worth it if you're only there for the Falls and have little time.

We stayed at the Zambezi Sun 20 months previusly and wanted to go agin to experience the Falls with more water. The location of this hotel is outstanding for little walks and the fact that we were supplied with rain capes by the hotel (and they were far better than the green things that look more heavy duty) only added to the experience. If there is any criticism, it is that if you are staying for several days, the main evening meal dishes don't vary that much. If you don't like spicy foods then choice is limited - but the saldads and desserts are great and breakfast is very well catered. There was some renovation of the next block of rooms going on, but it never interferrred with us. The only noise was of the Victoria Falls and the wildlife - don't miss the giraffes being fed at 3pm!

Room Tip: We have stayed in two different blocks and each has good and less advatageous factors. Some blocks a...
