“Mosi-oa-tunya”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

Firstly, this is a perfect location to visit the Mosi-oa-Tunya (vic falls) just a stroll out of the Zambezi sun gardens at you're at the entrance of the falls, you can hear them from your room and see the smoke, just great. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. Walking to the restaurant or bar you see wildlife, zebras, impala etc. service is very friendly, but I thought a bit slow at times and seemed to take a lot of staff for a small job? But really really nice nonetheless. Breakfasts were lovely outside in perfect weather which never seems to change. I recommend a boat cruise up the Zambezi to view their beautiful sunsets and my friend did a glider over the falls, I regret not doing this as a birds eye view would be amazing. All in all I loved it here and needed 5 days instead of 4. Will be back again.

Room Tip: We stayed at the room facing the falls so we could hear them, not sure if you can hear them from the...

This is a perfect location, as it is five minutes walk to Victoria Falls; entrance fee is included in room rate, and you go as many times as you want each day. The facility is very nice, open, spacious, very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is first class. There is a great dinner buffet, however, we ate at Squires Restaurant each night, which is next door to the complex. The rooms are comfortable with a charming decor. While sitting on our balcony, we saw a giraffe walk by. They have a live band near the pool each night; a nice pool bar/grill area. The wi-fi didn't work in the room, only near pool, restaurants, lobby, etc. However, they have indicated they are working on having that problem rectified. The activity center next door was able to book us a white water rafting trip the night before; highly recommend the rafting trip (& we are 57 & 62). My only complaint (other than lack of wi-fi in room) is that since the gate to the falls was closed (at 6pm daily), we had to get a ride to the main entrance, there & back, about 10 mtes away, & pay $25 fee, to see the Lunar Rainbow. BUt, this is a must see if you are there during a full moon. Highly recommend staying at this facility. Or if you want to spend more money, stay at the Livingstone, next door.

Room Tip: The rooms not facing the pool/open areas are more quite; and you might see a giraffe or other animal...

Nice, comfy rooms, friendly staff. Price: too expensive for what you get. The helicopters flying constantly over the hotel and premises are a nuisance, as well as the loud music played in the pool area. Impossible to concentrate on a book. Wifi: 250 MB free, but reception is slower than slow. Garden with zebras, impalas and giraffes is beautiful. Free entrance to the Falls, within walking distance from the hotel, which is great. The sundeck of the Royal Livingstone Hotel is also nearby and worth visiting during sunset.

Room Tip: Rooms at the backside of the hotel are quieter.

So many activities and memories to carry home. Lots of thrilling activities like zip line, open helicopter rides and the micro light over the smoking falls and the cheetah walk is a must do. I could'nt imagine i was friends with a cheetah touching it's tail and stroking its head.

What a great place! Breakfast in the dining area, lunch at the pool bar, and a very affordable room service dinner (or Squire's Grill for dinner)...all wonderful served by a friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and the decor was darling. Loved the zebras and giraffes on property. Get up early and walk to the Royal Livingstone to make sure you see them (and to sit on the deck for a sunset there on the river, too). The short walk to the falls (get the complimentary ponchos from the drawer under the coffee maker) makes this the place to be! We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: They were renovating an entire section, so ask when you book!

It is a large vibrant concrete complex but the location is fantastic. It is only a 5 minute walk to the falls and by staying there you can go as many times as you like so you see sun rises and sun sets , rainbows etc . Also there is jolly zebras wandering outside your door and by the pool which is pretty cool, giffraffes too . You can walk to the Roysl Livingston hotel which is on the Zambezi river and a 20 minute or so walk to the falls ... It is more elegant and bit like ' days of the Raj' set up .mtge Zambezi Sun certainly had a lot more children . Nice breakfast and super helpful people to book helicopter flights and other activities and confirm ongoing flights

It was my first tine in Zambia and I must say my stay in Zambezi sun was my best holiday just yet. I arrived at the hotel at 2am and the staff were at hand to assist and in no time I was in my room with a hot cup of coffee to warm me up. The meals were great, the proximity to Victoria falls even better being a 5 minute walk from my room. The wild life on the hotel grounds was just amazing. I had a chance to visit the deck at Royal Livingston which is just next door and the view from the Zambezi river is just something else read lovely. Would definitely recommend and yes I will be back :-)
